This is a great question, thanks!

I'd love to actually have a proper opportunity to study philosophy, since the opportunity to do so was only available to people who did the baccalaureate, ie. not me.

To guide me in this, I really don't know who to pick, frankly, since there are so many great minds who I'd love to have got the chance to understand, but I think I'd pick (strangely enough) George MacDonald, who wrote some of the strangest stuff of the 19th century, but had some of the most profound ideas about everything we could relate to.

OK, my question is:

Let's suppose you were a police officer in charge of a station who had captured a suspected terrorist, who was subsequently found to be innocent through questioning. If you imprison him anyway, public anxiety will decrease and you'll all get promotions.

What would you do?

Turn him loose, but tell the public he confessed and then hung himself.

What if you see a $50 bill lying on the sidewalk, and as you bend over to pick it up a strong gust of wind blows it down the street just as you hear screams for help coming from a nearby alley in the opposite direction. What do you do?

Check out the alley, of course. Or maybe grab the $50 and use it as a weapon.

IF you had a million dollars and had to spend it all at once, how would you do it?

I would buy a seat in the Senate, I hear some Senators have good prices.

What would you do if you committed a brutal murder and somehow came out clean with no police eyeing you. A week later you hear that the main suspect has been detained and the likely sentence for him/her would be life in jail, since you don't live in a state that practises capital punishment.
