58 Reasons to Hate America | Open your Mind, Open Your Eyes, Don’t Lie to Yourself

ps: This blogger is surely burning in hell.

He's trolling. Making himself out to be an internet hatemonger.

BUT

I read through a good bit of the frontpage there, and liked an idea or two (for example, Mac's iPods/etc. create a have/have-not class break even though they're just phones/mp3 players)

It seems like the author sometimes writes a good thought hidden between paragraphs of hate speech ... I think he tries to 'scare people away'

RVCA 06-27-2011 01:53 AM

A crappy, unfunny troll IMO

Burning Down 06-27-2011 08:50 AM

That site is a good example of how to waste Internet bandwidth.

Farfisa 06-27-2011 09:30 AM

If anyone needs any real reason to hate America, go to a mall in a suburban area on a Friday.

Alfred 06-27-2011 09:32 AM

That wasn't funny and I think I have a headache now.

Kevorkian Logic 06-27-2011 10:00 AM

*very heavy sigh of frustration.

Waste of internet.

Driztdor 06-27-2011 10:05 AM

There are some things that i don't like at America, but on that crappy blog there wasn't any of them. Mostly political reasons.

Paedantic Basterd 06-27-2011 10:15 AM

I'm very critical of America as a whole, in general, however, I absolutely take individuals on a case by case basis. I just always lean Devil's Advocate when a discussion comes up that I'm on the fence about.

EDIT: Upon reading the first homophobic slur in this blog, I have settled on the following stance: This dude is a massive fuckstain.

I've always felt that America gets a bad rap. Theres never much talk of the good things that The USA does for The World community. Sure the US has issues with politics, what country doesn't.

I agree with your assessment of the guy who started the blog, very eloquently put.

He lost me when he went all Joseph Goebbels on Mark Zuckerberg.

annak 06-27-2011 12:08 PM

it's a reason some people should never be taught how to count past three

Dr.Seussicide 06-27-2011 12:25 PM

He didn't even number the posts for Christ's sake. Fucking unorganized twat troll.

Oh, and btw, what the fuck is up with this reason?

Quote:

Every country in the world allows cigarette smoking and it is commonplace amongst the young and the old.

Then comes America. America is supposed to be the land of the free and yet everywhere you look, the basic human right of smoking being taken away.

Smoking cigarettes and tobacco has been made out to be the leading cause in cancer which is a bold faced lie.

Countries in Asia have a far greater smoking rate and yet cancer rates are far less than in America.

Non-Smokers just don’t get it. They are in a smoker’s world and they have no right to give smokers dirty looks for lighting up outside a restaurant.

They can spray on 2 cans of their cheap cologne or Tag body spray and permeate the air with artificial chemicals but you can’t satisfy your urge to smoke?

This is Every Toddlers Right and it Should not be Denied
Then there are the people who are allergic to smoking. There are no allergens in cigarette smoke as well as less carcinogens than your average fast food beef paddy and yet America decides to punish non-smokers.

Yet another reason to hate non-smokers in America is their propensity to hang no-smoking signs. Not one or 2 but sometimes as many as 10 non smoking signs surround the average commercial building and it not only looks unsightly but undermines the intelligence of all smokers.

If smoking is so bad for you, why does 8 out of 10 physicians smoke? If it so bad for you why do 97% of NBA basketball players some of the finest athletes in the world smoke marijuana?

Non-Smokers are All Boring People
People who don’t smoke are often socially retarded. They cannot fit in with interesting people so they tend to become introverted into their groups of non-smoking nerds with no life outside of their job.

Non-smokers also have the habit of becoming disgustingly fat. People who smoke look better as well as function better in society. If you don’t smoke, don’t be a loser. Go buy an overpriced pack of American cigarettes and smoke away so you won’t be yet another one of 58 Reasons to Hate America.
And more importantly, this picture?

Why would they go and talk about the good things when they want to keep the US's rep as some villain towards the world?

The good things won't sell newspapers or get people to tune into broadcasts.

They know that their audience rather bash on America as a whole so they feed into it by only reporting the negatives

Howard the Duck 06-29-2011 07:31 AM

why does it have to be so centralised to America only?

most of the reasons can apply to just about any country:- fast food, smoking, obsequious public figures, youth, drugs, activism, right-wing exremists, etc

he's talking out of his arse really

there are also wars which have nothing to do with you all

fast food originating here is much worse than American franchises in terms of nutritional value, e.g. Marrybrown, Kaiser, etc.

and I can tell you the police and judiciary are much worse here

if he thinks American movies are bad, he should watch some Malaysian movies

Farfisa 06-29-2011 08:49 AM

Everyone hates America because we push out agenda on everyone else. We should totally all be killed, Americans are awful.

djchameleon 06-29-2011 08:51 AM

another thing Americans also like to bitch about America too and they should be greatful that they are allowed to and don't get their tongues cut off for doing it.

Or being able to steal things and still have your hands in tact as opposed to some other countries.

I am so sick of this argument. Because we're not as bad as Saudi Arabia or Nazi Germany, we should be satisfied with our country? We shouldn't exercise out right to freedom of speech when the government engages in imperialism, corruption, and panders to whatever interest group happens to be politically trendy at the time because we are allowed to complain and bitch?

Thank you America. Thank you for not kidnapping me in my sleep and throwing me in a torure chamber. To show my gratitude I'm going to stick my fingers in my ears, close my eyes, and bend over.

Why shouldn't we be allowed to exercise that right? My point is that some people take the rights we do have for granted not that we should just turn a blind eye to whatever the government is doing.

Would you rather we just blindly believe that America is always good and right? A little bit of ungratefulness is a small price to pay for actually mistrusting your government (which is as it should be).

I realize what you're saying. You want the best of both worlds. Be grateful for your rights, while still being aware of your country's faults.

I'm saying this is impossible. People are idiots. If they're grateful for their rights, it's because they're not questioning their government.

If they are grateful for their rights then they are using them to change what they don't agree with about their government, through means of protesting, contacting their senators, etc.

Instead of just saying America is crap I'm moving to Canada because it's the best country in the world

One's views on the government and the country are going to be linked. If we're taking an honest look at our government, and finding out just how corrupt, incompetent, narcissistic, dishonest, imperialistic, and just plain douchebaggy our politicians and there policies are, can you honestly expect us to then say, "but America is still the greatest country on Earth"?

not that it's the greatest country on Earth but it's still way better than some other countries is all I'm saying that it could be a whole lot worse.

Dr_Rez 06-29-2011 11:58 AM

America is easily one of if not the best country. Prove it you say...Ok.. Look at your quality of life, it far better than 99.9% of other people in other countries across the globe.
