Yeah that's fair enough, admittedly I did not know the background story I was viewing at as a single happening and made my judgement based on that. No deeper malaise, I promise, besides that little naughty streak we all have that gets a thrill out of feet, paddles and too much masturbation, but that's just a personal thing I have going on.

Everything I Do Is Wrong | Are You A Man Living With PMS?

I love it tbh.

my favorite apology is

I apologize for letting you misinterpret what I was saying.

It's actually a campaign for "Got Milk" but I think it's great regardless
Ha ha ha! I thought the website was hilarious too, dj, in a kind of rueful way, because I can imagine how someone who knows me well may think many of those things about me when I'm most sensitive emotionally, the week or so before menstruation.

The website is also funny because it shows all the things that (I feel) people do that make it harder for someone experiencing PMS.

The best advice I would give someone whose partner is in a premenstrual time is this:

(1) Remember that your girlfriend before menstruation may be likely to feel more vulnerable and fearful of being left and uncared for.

(2) Remember that men can feel that way, too, sometimes. Everyone can feel insecure or hurt. That isn't just a woman thing. Everyone can have "glass half empty" moments or days.

(3) Remember that most people, when they feel like that, probably like to have their feelings acknowledged and don't want to be blamed for having them.

(4) Listen to her concerns to show support, remind her you do care about her, and give her a chance to remind you how much she loves you even when she is upset. If someone opens up to you about her concerns and emotional hurts, it probably means she really cares about you...especially if you are the one she feels hurt by.

(5) Following that website's advice, which was to give a simple apology for something you don't feel apologetic about, isn't going to help and will probably make the situation worse. If someone feels patronized or not treated with honesty, then that will be hurtful to her.

In the section of the website that says, "Type what you think you did wrong," I typed, "I told her not to be upset." The website scanned my response and reported: "Yes! That's something you did wrong! 100% of mistakes verified." I chuckled at that, because if someone told me not to be upset, as if I had no reason for feeling what I feel, I know I'd feel more upset. I'm pretty sure that the joke is that no matter what you type in, it will be considered a mistake (by the premenstrual person). That's an exaggeration.

I also chuckled at the "sensitivity vocabulator" which said, "Instead of 'irrational' try 'passionate.'" Calling someone "irrational" for having a feeling is definitely not going to help! I actually like the premenstrual time because during it I *do* feel more passionate about life in general, not taking it for granted, and I am more likely to deal with my insecurities rather than just skip over them.

That was funny and reasonable, especially the part about how no one goes to bed offended and wakes up with leprosy as a way of showing how being offended doesn't actually *do* anything to you. I also thought it was funny how he is offended by boy bands. Good video, Nosferatu!

I just kind of wanted to expound on this a little. It's not just with menstruating women (or only women at all for that matter), but when someone starts complaining about a bad day at work or how something is going wrong in their life, they're not looking for you to necessarily give them a detailed account of how they screwed up and how they should fix it. They're looking for empathy. Telling them how to fix the problem just comes off as criticism, will put them on the defensive, and makes them feel like you're not concerned with how they feel.

(6) Give her a few extra seconds to make your sandwich before you beat the shit out of her.

That's so wrong! Sandwich making is an art. You should give her as much time as she needs to make you the proper sandwich. Now, if she turns in a subpar BLT...

Are you sure that is wise to leave a person, who has a grudge against you, alone in the kitchen with knives and rat poison/toxic cleaners readily available in the cupboards as she is making a sandwich for you?? Aren't you at all worried she'll get a little "creative" with the fixings?

(7) Make your own bloody sandwiches.
