I ran out of money. I'm in between buzzed and drunk. What do they call that?

I believe they call that "in between buzzed and drunk". ;)

I've been drunk at least three out of the last five nights, mainly caused by the discovery of how nice Morgan's Spiced is. Being able to buy booze/***s legally now I have a feeling I'll be going off the rails soon.

But think, if you WEREN'T that cool, you'd just be totally screwed and have to pay someone else to fix the bike or buy a new one. There's a lot of pride to be had in being mechanically inclined.

You've got a point there Carpe, and thanks again. Mini-Bikes and Go-Carts are ok, but they really aren't that much of a challenge, and it's more of a hobby than anything. I design fire training facilities for a living which is quite a bit more 'involved', to say the least.

My cool factor goes up yet another notch.

One of my roomates would pull stuff like this all the time. I remember waking him up when he had his legs in the bathroom sink and his head in a trashcan.

When I was in a homeless shelter full of people on drugs, this lady passed out at the cafeteria one breakfast morning and her face was slam dunk into her cereal bowl.

I don't think I've laughed that hard before, but a few of us had to go try and wake her up so she wouldn't suffocate.

Couldn't find an orange liqueur today, I did however find an egg liqueur (Advocaat) and had to try. Tastes about as weird as it sounds, its like drinking a bottle of egg yolks and brandy, I've been mixing it with Tia Maria and it's not terrible. I made something that isn't terrible.

ladyislingering 07-20-2014 10:35 PM

because I've been sober for a week and I have massive amounts of sleeping pills to do the same job without the need for gallons of water or food to chase them down.

I fell asleep with my shoes on this past Saturday. Not quite epic, but for a very particular guy when it comes to post-drinking bedtime organisation, it is pretty unthinkable.

Did you wash the sharpie dick off your face?

Black Francis 07-25-2014 01:15 PM

Cause it's 3 pm here and it's too early to get drunk??

For me it's weird getting drunk at daytime the sun reminds me of all the responsibilities i skipped out in order to drink, it shines on me and it judges me, the moon doesn't do that to me and that's why i prefer to drink during the night.

I prefer it at night too.
Having a few drinks during the day is good though, when the weather is good at least.
The only time I've ever been properly drunk before night is at music festivals, I think...

I'll never know folks.

I vowed, in light of the hangover, to never drink to excess again.

But me and my girlfriend split up yesterday so **** it.

+ It's the Commonwealth Games ffs. Glasgow is beautiful and abuzz.

If you can hold true to that vow, then you are no friend of mine.

You are indeed no friend of mine. I dig drinking in the day. It makes the day feel so much more relaxed and free. A day started with a brewski or ten is a day enjoyed.

GuD 07-25-2014 01:23 PM

Day drinking is a hoot. I like to start the morning correct with an Irish coffee and maybe a beer, big breakfast. Hit a liquor store and start brown bagging to keep the ball rollin.

Black Francis 07-25-2014 01:29 PM

The main reason i don't like to drink during the day is cause i usually drink to get hammered not just to have a few beers..

im a lightweight too so by my 3rd beer im already tipsy and if i reach that point i just want more and more until im sh*t faced drunk, that's why i just can't have 1 or 2 beers casually during the daytime cause i end up wanting more.

oh, also i work during the day so i can't do it anyway..

It might be a total alchie move, but getting plastered and passing out, and then starting the day with another drinking binge is one of life's great joys. Only if it's a bright, sunny spring/summer day though. Otherwise it just becomes painfully obvious you need to quit drinking so much.

It is kind of fun to get drunk knowing you have obligations to take care of in the day but if you can't control yourself and just be slightly tipsy then that ruins it.

Also of course if you have to drive to and from work then that'd be a no go but try it one day like if you have work off that day but need to go to the dr. or dentist.

It is kind of like a test to see how much of a functioning alcoholic you and be and if others can tell you've been drinking or not.

My favorite is when you stayed up all last night drinking with your friends until the sun came up, passed out, and then started drinking again when you all woke up (assuming everyone has the day off). It makes it feel like the good times never ended, they just took a break.

Personally i don't like slacking off at work so ive never sneaked off to have a drink..
i don't even wanna try it cause i know myself, im an excessive person if i start slacking off to have a drink here or there it will affect my job performance and i already get sh*t from my boss for using my tablet at work.. (Idk why though i only use it when things are slow at work)

At my last job I was drunk most of the time at work and thought my boss didn't know.

One day he called me in on my day off for work and told him I would but was rotten drunk. He told me he's seen me drunk while I work and to come in anyway.

He still promoted me to manager, haha. I honestly think I'm more functional as a drunk than I am when sober.

So much with this. I gotta be careful and not tip the scale and get too drunk though.
