Why ARN'T you DRUNK yet?
Well?
P.s. work drinks save my life. |
I have to be up early tomorrow to study for a midterm, plus I have a headache. #threadkill

I am in fact a little wasted tonight, as well as stoned, oh yes I am incredibly stoned. My night class got cancelled and I was already set to meet a buddy at the pub, so it worked out well. Our usual pub was in it's usual happy atmosphere, with lots of pretty young people out having fun on their early Friday. My friend and I got a little sloshed, in remembrance of those who fell in World War I, a war we are both quite fond of and are upset that it's not quite as respected here in the U.S. as opposed to the U.K. or Canada. It is a little disconcerting when I don't see people wearing a felt poppy pinned to their jacket, because I'm so use to it from living in Canada, where regardless of the person, they will all be wearing a poppy come this time of year. It's one of those rare unifying moments where we're all united behind a very basic and common idea, besides the usual ones like how awesome Tim Horton's and Trailer Park Boys are. I really love this pub, it never fails to make me happy and is definitely one of the only miss when I escape this hellish death hole. My friend and I both agreed that we really need to start coming here every Friday like we use to back in the year when we first discovered the location. Yeah... pubs like this are great.
There's my drunken/stoned spiel of the night. |

I guess for Canada, WWI is kind of a special thing because it's one of our very first real wars, one in which we were represented on a global scale. It was really one of our real attempts to show how much we mattered to the whole world. For most the 1800's we just kind of did our own thing, so WWI showed how grown up we had become. In our history classes, there's far more of an emphasis on WWI history then I found in my US History classes I took. Veteran's and Memorial Day in the US is definitely aimed more towards the living Veterans and that is awesome because the US definitely has more of those at the moment then Canada. I guess it's just seeing everybody wear the poppies gives a real sense of unity in Canada. Like I said, it didn't matter whether you were a business man or some gutter punk, whenever November rolled around in Canada I would see them all wearing poppies. I guess by goal I meant this feeling of commemorating the Veterans of now and yore. Again, drunk person typing here, so I apologize if what I type doesn't make the slightest bit of sense upon first reading. I didn't mean it to sound like the U.S. doesn't respect it's veterans the same way that other countries do, but I can certainly understand why someone might see it as that. |
Um I can't legally drink.
Well this is awkward. |

But when I walked back from the pub I saw a cardigan attached to a hedge and it told me to take it home so I DID! |

Hahaha I guess it has stopped me. The only time I've had alcohol is when I visited Canada, where I was legal and even then I didn't have enough to get drunk. All in due time, I suppose.
|
It's 12:30pm and it still feels early.
Just had my first cup o' coffee. Also, I'm out of beer. Dammit. |
Well, I'm not drunk yet because today is my good friend's 21st birthday (he's the baby of our group) and he's driving in from work to party - and won't be here until about 5. So, I will be drunk.
I just want to be sober when I see my friend take his first legal drinks of alcohol, then get drunk with him. :) |
i don't really like alcohol much these days
i'm allergic to it as well (i get rashes after downing a few) |
Why would I get drunk?

Why am I not drunk? Several reasons - out of alcohol, no money, and I have to work for 3 hours tonight. But I'm going to a party tomorrow! |
I am going to a friend's gallery opening tonight so I will be drinking wine with my pinky held high.

In sleazy bar rooms. |
Where I live, we drink whenever the fuck we get the hankering, cause we dont care about the law.
Also I'm not drunk right now cause I have to work in an hour and I'd rather get high anyway. |
I'm going to an ATM after my tape is done (in about 45 minutes) to get some money.
A friend of mine bought a Zenza Bronica Camera and it'll be delivered here tomorrow as the guy who sells it lives near me :). |
Oh yeah, across the pond they have really strict drinking limits, don't they? Over here the age is 18, and I'm 16.
|
I don't know. I guess this water doesn't have much alcohol in it.

... I'm only 19, and I can't stand to be around people when they're drunk.

Anyway, now drinking: http://www.blik-op-blik.nl/2009_nieu...500ml-2009.jpg So I'll be offtopic soon :) |
There ya go.
"Why are you not drunk yet?" Well... I guess I am. Not a good idea, strong beer at this time of day. My goodness, every limb feels numb. Everything is moving. It's epic, but still a bad idea ;). |

I am not drunk yet because I still haven't recovered fully from yesterday.
Two ****ing beers, that's all it took. Still feeling... vague. |
if i do drink alcohol, i drink sake
i can finish a whole bottle without feeling anything, cos it's pretty distilled |
Never had Sake :)
|
I've never had sake either, but they serve it at the sushi restaurant down the street.
|
You might want to try that, then.
I don't like rice, so... No Sushi for me. To answer the question: Because I still feel ****ed from being drunk yesterday night. Truly, I've never been so drunk in my entire life. It's the first time I actually did stuff (in my home) that I can't remember. I now know how far I can go and I'll never try that again. Just two beers man... With the alcohol of six beers, but still... |

Goddamn two days ago me and my two friends stayed at one of their houses. After we got back from smoking weed at this kids house we decided to hit the booze hard. We finished off 3 half-drank bottles, one whiskey, one sour puss, and one vodka. After that me and the kid who's house it was decided to go for an insanely drunken walk around town at 4 AM. We ended up sitting behind the sev and smoking a whole pack of cigarettes. Then tried to walk back but got lost lol. It took us another 3 hours to make a 15 minute walk.

Today, I am not drinking because I am out of alcohol - and Ashland doesn't sell on Sunday. I don't want to have to drive 15min. to Ohio or West Virginia beer stores to pick up a six pack. If I had the funds to justify the drive for a 12 pack or case, I definitely would.
|
Lucky you.
If I'm out of alcohol on a Sunday I have to go to a bar. Or drive three hours in any direction, depends how I feel at the time. |
