I don't doubt that he's probably a nice guy but I think he must be getting a sore arse from sitting on a fence for so so long. Wants to be all things to all people. Seems to be more interested in being popular and telling us every aspect of his mundane life than offering any strong opinions on anything. the only time I have seen him do so he totally refused to back up what he was saying and cried like a baby when people told him he was wrong.
Probably won't even fill one of these in because it involves offering a decisive opinion on something but I can see him bitch & whine and say how he's so different on his dutch forum and it's because of his 'disability' if he's mentioned for any category he doesn't want to be voted for, much like this one.

It seemed like every time I took some time away from the mod forum I would come back and their tedious little feud would fill endless pages of threads in there throughout most of the year and cause the mods tons of wasted time when they could have been doing something much more interesting or constructive.

As well as being possibly the nicest guy ever to set foot in this place he makes me wish I shared a bit more of my taste in music with him so I could lend my support for a lot of the things he does around here.

I think I owe him this one. I always felt he was trying too hard when he first joined and found him rather annoying, I know I wasn't the only one too, although I could see that he did have something to offer the place so I wasn't against him being made a mod.
I would say in the past year or so he's become a lot more relaxed about this place and he has a much more laid back vibe these days, yet he's still not lost any of his directness. Because of that I find him much easier to deal with and appreciate his posts more, especially in the mod forum where his detective work has uncovered plenty of lulz.

Most Underrated Poster: Tumor
A lot of people don't like her, I can see why. A lot of people don't like me either. But for someone who some people write off as a troll she's well liked by quite a lot of people here who are into discussing music rather than hanging out in the lounge. She's a lot smarter than she makes out, She's funny, she has good taste and she rips into the stuff she doesn't like with style & creativity that most on this forum could only dream of.
I'm glad I made an effort to get to know her better.

Thanks a lot to those who have nominated me! I'm a little surprised. Compared to last year, I feel like my presence here has been like a shadow of my former self, contributing less to the site and involving myself in fewer discussions.

Anyways, I have time for some if not all of these :

Most Inane: S_k .. Tries so hard to be likable, but can't help being slightly condescending and pig-headed. His amazing relationships with girls, his home address, google earth picture of his house etc. is just way more information than I need and I think he should take a moment or two and learn the ABCs of internet security.

My runner up would be Il Duce. I like the Duce a lot, but his posts (which are everywhere) always feel like a (too) short summary of whatever he thinks or feels. Despite this, he sometimes makes posts in the TMI category. I wish he'd make fewer posts, but fill them with more content.

Most Enigmatic: Burning Down .. Who are you? That's not a rhetoric question either, I'd actually like to know.
Angriest Member: I'll nominate GuitarBizarre for the way he likes to reign down his fury on the wrong and the stupid. He's part trolly (troller of trolls), but generally uses his powers for good.
Biggest Drama Whore: I like Paloma, but she does seem to be involved in every bit of drama that happens around here. Even when she's not directly involved, she seems to wiggle her way into it.
Nicest Member: Erica got my nomination last year, so this year it's Lisnaholic. Possibly the nicest guy I've met here!
Best Debater: Vegangelica. I do read her posts even though I don't always comment and although a lot find them boring, she does a good job at picking out relevant claims and backing them up with sources. I wish she would partake more often in non-dietary discussions though ;)
Worst Debater: S_k. He can't really debate, only insist.
Best Writer: RMR. I really haven't read much this year at all, so there may be someone more deserving, but at least RMR's been reviewing a lot of classics that I like and seems to be quite productive these days.

Sexiest Member (Male/Female): Abstaining from these on account of not really caring that much what everyone looks like. Everyone knows it's totally Urban Hatemonger though.

Most Inane: I had a very long discussion of why I felt someone was the most Inane poster here, then I remembered someone else: Hands down, Tumor. I have never, ever seen her post anything remotely approaching interesting.

Most Enigmatic: Definitely dankrsta. I get the feeling she's not around anymore, but if ever there was a poster that was a total black box...

Angriest Member: Probably Paloma. There are lots of users on the forum that are very aggressively argumentative *cough*Big2*cough*, but noone has such a short fuse.

Biggest Drama Whore: Hum. If this were attention whore, I'd be able to answer, but Drama? I just leave when things get too dramatic, so I really don't know.

Nicest Member: Vegangelica. I love having discussions with Erica, cause they're always so... nice. Regardless of whether she agrees or not, she will always be more than polite.

Best Debater: There are quite a few people who could win this category. For me, due to exposure, I'm going to say Tore. He is calm, collected, and always presents a valid, thought out argument. The same can be said for many other people I'm sure, but he's the one who I personally have had the most consistently well debated contact with.

Worst Debater: Truly bad debaters don't seem to stick around too long here - you either debate well or your posts don't contain enough opinion to be worth debating. For that reason, I can't think of anyone who is still around that I remember as being a bad debater.

Best Writer: Loathsome Pete. It was his "101 Albums..." list and the erudite fashion through which he explained the reasons why he loved each album on the list that got me back into checking these forums every now and then.

Skaligojura is angry in a good way. He`s like MB`s conscience, telling us to challenge our musical preconceptions and take music as seriously as he does.

At a more individual level, when Vegangelica opens a thread she is attentive to every poster, making them feel that their contributions are both welcome and valued. Scanning the boards then joining her threads is like walking from a windy street into a warm home.

tore has the patience to research before he posts. He`s always ready with references, reasons and questions to move a debate onto another level. He is also prepared to reason with the unreasonable. Does anyone else remember how, with a masterpiece of polite analysis, he told Baggs that he wasn`t welcome ?

Worst Debater:
The recently arrived steveeden specialises in posts that are long on bombast but short on logic.

Smartest Poster:
Just one cool, concise line from Janszoon can cut through pages of lesser posts.

Sometimes funny haha, and sometimes funny strange, tumor uses inexplicable words like choad and queef. On balance, I think I prefer not knowing what they mean ...

Best avatar - Perhaps not the best or most original avatar, but (especially without the christmas hat) I've always liked Kayleigh's avatar. I've never really understood the big deal about Marilyn Monroe, but this photo somehow touches me. There's a certain kindness to it. It makes me smile :)

Sexiest Member (male) - Haha, I don't fancy males in any way, but I think Garrett has the most epic beard. Ever. I always think Tore looks pretty stylish and Duce's ever smiling pictures are a joy to look at. Still, can't deny the beard, Garrett for this year ;)

Sexiest Member (female) - Always tough, this. Sexiness and beauty are hard to keep apart. I like Dreadnaught, I like Lateralus, I like Kayleigh, I like Bonesaworchestra, but it's all based on the couple of pics I just saw scrolling through the picture threads. I often don't even know which face goes with which name. Have been scrolling through these topics for long enough now. Nominees are Aurora and Dreadnaught. And I think I'd just go for Aurora. But it's a friggin' close call :D

Most Inane - Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What is dull and irrelevant to some, may be quite amusing or interesting to others. I see being inane as a good thing. And I nominate Duce because I think he's an epic man, man.

Nicest member - This is a tough one. Duce is a very nice man, as is TomClancy and MightySalami. I also am a big Burning Down fan, Kayleigh is a brilliant girl to know and Janszoon is just epic, as is Lisnaholic. But when the going gets tough, I really get a lot of support from Vegangelica. And when everything is right, we have a lot of talk about random, interesting subjects. That's why I vote her the nicest member. But again, close calls here.
