Two things:

1. When going up against Old Man Zoon, its best to be clever. People don't mind being insulted as long as its done artfully. Otherwise it seems a little one-sided. (This isn't law, its just my perception).

2. Ska Lagos Jew wishes he could harness 2/5th of the Rage I throw out casually at spammers. Few on these forums can stand against my glorious wrath. I am the John Henry of angry posts.

It`s very flattering to`ve been voted Nicest Member. With the possible exception of Sexiest Male, I don`t think there`s any category I`d rather have won. Although it`s all in fun, it means a lot to me and I was very proud to be able to show the award results to my son. So a big THANKS to anyone who voted for me.

In fact I haven`t really done anything except respond to the decency and friendliness that I`ve always experienced on MB ; most notably from tore and s_k when I was no more than a one-post wonder, but continuing with posters as diverse as Jackhammer, Janzsoon, Urban H, Mrd00d, JackPat, Anteater, fazstp, Pedestrian, Vangelica, The Big3 and many others.

I`d like to second Pedestrian`s comment about ALL the mods, who make a lot of effort for which they receive little recognition. It`s a paradox that the better they do their job, the less noticable it is.

And talking of paradoxes, surely anyone who gets a mention as Most Underrated is no longer underrated ? So rather in the spirit of The Tomb of The Unknown Soldier, I`d like to propose an Award for The Unmentioned Poster and congratulate everyone who has won it. Your efforts count for something too. Every post is a contribution to the community, so well done to everybody who has helped to make MB such an entertaining place in 2011.

I think Lisn is one of the more underappreciated players on MB. I've never seen someone work that hard continuously without getting burned out. Those FAIR threads are something everyone should participate in if they're looking for new music. I often times don't know anyone listed.

Hopefully thats something that gets its due in 2012.

But why doesn't it work when I try to put my banner in my sig? It just shows up as a text link to the picture.

I had to merge a couple of the awards from the first post into one image to work around the 10-picture limit. Best Debater would be the one that's not working, so here's the original banner.

EDIT: Or is it an altogether different problem?
