i know exactly what you're talking about...but again all i can say is relax and heal and leave

seriously when i was in i watched two full season marathons of Americas Next Top Model.....and was so into the bullshit that i asked people to leave!....but that probably had more to do with the drugs

i don't know about where you are.....but when i tried to lessen my dose the doctors actually became pushers.....and insisted that i use them more

I've never been seriously ill (touch wood) I had to spend one night in hospital when I was 15 and I cried so much at the thought. FT hospitals. Never had invasive surgery either.

Hope you get better soon Burning , find some valium, you'll think you've only been in hospital for about an hour haha.

I`m very sorry to hear what you`re going through, Burning Down. At least your prognosis is good, so bob`s advice makes a lot of sense.
You could also try taking a break from the compu and tv and do some old-fashioned things, like the origami that someone mentioned.

When I was in hosp for a couple of days, I felt so sorry for myself, but you have to remember; it does finish, and plenty of people have it so much worse. OK, now I`m sounding like my mum, so I`ll say goodbye, and wish you good luck, Burning Down.

Yes, thankfully I have a window in this room. I'm in a hospital right in the middle of downtown Toronto, so there is not much to see except for the university across the street, a couple of trees, and the traffic lights But there is a courtyard type of thing with a greenhouse attached to it that I'm allowed to go to now, I just have to tell the nurse where I am. I can walk there by myself now which is great, but it takes forever LOL!

^ That doesn`t sound too bad; can you see the sky from your bed or is it blocked out by the university ?
If you can walk around, that`s great news. The worst thing is lying on a bed for days. For fun, I wanted to show you London`s biggest greenhouse, but I`m struggling, as usual to copy an image into a post. If you like, google Images of Kew Gardens and let me know how your greenhouse compares !

Compose some music, even if you don't know how to necessarily write music, to play later.

Become Black Metal. Varg Vikernes was able to become Black Metal in prison, so why can't you?

Oh I'm composing music alright, just not for myself. For school, and it's just chords and voice leading...

Here's part of my homework if anyone cares to do it for me. Just kidding.

This really made me laugh!

My recommendation: Get better and get out! I can't even imagine how frustrating it is to be stuck in a bed almost the entire day. I bet you're gonna leap for joy on the way out of the hospital (or you know, whatever you can accomplish that's close to a leap anyway).
