^^oh hello, I know you from muzic forums
|
Is this the biggest/most active general music forum? This is the first one that comes up when you google "music forum" and the other few I looked into didn't seem to be as active as this.
I love the size of this forum for the fact that you get to know the users on more of a personal level, but it's not so small that there isn't something interesting going on most times when you decide to log on. Still though, I'm a bit surprised there isn't anything bigger on the www for something as general as music. |

A part of it anyway, there's a lot more water. I'm posting the last pic as a link as it's simply huge. |
I'm a panel beater by trade
But at the moment I'm at uni studying accounting, working part time at Coles in the fresh produce section, stacking fruit, veg etc |
I work in sales for a steel processing company, and I hate it. Sales I mean, not steel processing. I used to work for the production side of the company and liked it much better. Trying to figure out how to get back there.

in the general atmosphere of this board in a few threads, i also work part-time as a pimp

i read somewhere 1 in 20 women are hookers it isn't that hard for him to make headway, but there's lot of competition i went for a sex trip there, but it was foiled by a bad stomach and generally unclean food and water |

Aren't hygiene standards poor in Malaysia as well? I only thought of Singapore as being good in that part of the world. |

tap water here is bad, though, you do need to boil it Singapore is way better than any other country here just because of its size and higher revenue (it's a trade point) Brunei as well (oil) |

It takes a special kind of person, imo, to enjoy sales. Props to you my friend. |
I've been a movie theater projectionist for three and a half years.
I've been manager/projectionist of a small three screen art house for a year and a half. This takes up most of my time but it's nice because I get to watch movies basically all day as well as run them. |
^that is absolutely perfect.....exactly the impression i get from you here! :)
at this point and time in my life i am a truck driver.....what they call a line haul driver....basically i pick up an empty 53 foot trailer in Reno drive it to Woodland CA (about 20 miles north of Sacramento) drop it and pick up a loaded trailer to bring back for the kid who does the route.....the product is for Ross stores....i started this job last night!....its a pretty good gig....i basically work from 7pm to about 230am and it pays well enough with full company paid medical (which i need :( ) and i fell i basically get paid to listen to music for 8 hours....which obviously is a bonus for me :) edit: i'm pretty sure i am the only truck driver in the world with a Current 93 tattoo and who wears a DEVO energy dome while driving :) |

We have a digital house and two 35mm theaters. Reel to Reel really is an old term now. I don't know anybody that actually uses a reel to reel projectors anymore. We use platter systems which makes it a lot more convenient. Basically, with reel to reel systems you would have to have two of them. One would be running reel 1 and the other would be holding reel 2. When reel 1 would be almost don't you would cue up reel two and "switch" over. Then you take reel 1 off and replace with reel 3. Platter systems allow you to splice together all the reels into one giant 35mm film. This way you can just run the entire movie through at once without having to switch at all. It isn't a piece of cake but it certainly beats out having to switch 5 times a showing. The digital house works like an ipod playlist. I upload trailers and movies from a hard drive and arrange them in a playlist. Then I click play. Easy. It's also sadly going to be the end of my job when all theaters are running digital projectors. Maybe I'll go into repair after that. Things always break. |

I'm essentially a freelance writer who picks up some occasional dough from visual art. I'm going to be supplementing this with other work, but that's the gist of what I do.

I might need to look into this line of work. How does one break into this kind of work? What kind of licenses/experience needed? etc... Also, if I do ever see a Devo-hat wearing truck driver, I'll know it's you... |
I'm the only accountant!?!?

personally i signed on with England and worked for them for a little over a year basically i went to their school in Salt lake after i failed miserably at bike frame construction (just could not get the hang of welding)....basically it went like this....3 weeks instruction in Salt Lake, three months over the road training....and then i land a spot on their dedicated fleet out of Reno for Wal-Mart....after my year was up i started dropping resumes with the local beer people and landed this job for Ross....like i said it has its ups and downs but pays well with great benefits....and again i basically drive for 6-7 hours and listen to music....still i'm on a waiting list for a couple of the beer distributors here in reno |
Sounds like something I could be comfortable doing. I would just need to put in the work and get started. I'll definitely be mulling it over. Thanks for the information.
