Yeah it was pretty funny. Like nobody could possibly fit in the cupboard she was looking in. That's how we realised she was actually asleep.

The shadow thing is a bit weirder. We just heard a noise and found her standing in the dimly lit hallway against the wall staring up into the shadows. There is this recurrent character in her nightmares called "Blacky" who is kind of a shadow figure.

I'm a sleepwalker as well, though the older I get the less often it happens. When I was younger I did it much more frequently and apparently I would always try to leave the house; one time I walked past my mom who was sitting in the living room, out the front door and started walking to the pool across the street. She said they ended up having to install a deadbolt that was out of my reach.

Other notable examples include a night when I was staying over at my cousin's house and I ended up pouring laundry soap over everything and turning two jugs of milk upside down in their refrigerator with the caps off. Then later in high school after I moved out of my parent's house I went through a phase where I would wake up in the living room watering, arranging, or generally fucking with my plants.

I haven't slept-walk much in the last few years though, at least not that I remember. Sometimes I wake up just standing in a different room than I was sleeping in, but I don't really count that. So far my roommate hasn't been freaked out by it so all is well.

I'm not a sleepwalker but I'm a sleeptalker. A couple days ago my wife woke up to me saying "Stiletto" to her. The funny part is I clearly remember having a dream where she asked me what the name of the crow on Danger Mouse was (his name is Stiletto).

That's what worries me about my daughter. She hasn't tried to leave the house yet but if she did I'm a pretty heavy sleeper.



My wife is too. Well more of a sleep-screamer. It always seems to happen when she is fighting with someone in her dreams.

I am very bad when it comes to sleep talking. I always do it with other people in my bed and occasionally I wake up alone saying something. I've woken up many times in tears as well. There was once a time where I woke up screaming.

Apparently I also sleep talk. Funny thing is, the person who says I sleep talk says that she's both terrified and amazed at the things I say. I don't remember saying things in my sleep, at all.

I used to sleepwalk before I was around ten or so.

My mother once had this plant that she thought was just downright gorgeous, but all of a sudden, it started to just die, regardless of the relentlessly good care with which she took care of it. One night, she was doing laundry and I came out into the living room (where the plant was) and right in front of her, started peeing into the pot. I did not remember this at all the next day, but my mom thought that it was too cute to be mad at me, so it all worked out. I've also had a similar event with a hamper, but that wasn't as ongoing.

Also, one that's not as funny but a little more scary for my parents was that when I was four, I sleptwalk into the living room and wrapped myself up in a curtain in a corner where they couldn't see me. They searched the house and were about to call the police until I woke up and started crying for some reason. Glad that this is my only scare though.

I don't sleepwalk anymore, but it has left me with some good stories.

I did the same thing, at around the same age. My sisters and I shared a bedroom and I sleptwalked to the livingroom and wrapped myself in one of the drapes in the corner, just as you did. My eldest sister woke up to use the bathroom and noticed I wasn't in my bed. She searched the apartment and luckily, it didn't take her long to find me. I was still in a twilight sleep as she unravelled me from the drapes, so she walked me back to our room - and put me in her bed with her so I wouldn't venture out again.
