I completely failed at this.

I didn't attempt it, but I feel as though music discussion has improved, at least in the general music forum.

i stayed away from most non-music discussions, only reading them but not participating

i only posted in the "Your Day" thread, but my posts are like tweets

posted about twice as much in the music subforums

i couldn't resist when there's something funny going on in the Lounge threads, though, but generally, i didn't partake in any "serious" non-music discussion

That was fun. I only broke the rule once or twice toward the beginning and end of the month. I think mid-way through I had the realization that most of the stuff in the lounge is complete bullshit compared to the music discussions. It's was like quitting fast food and making an effort to eat healthy.

But a little bullshit is good every now and then.

I feel bad because I've actually been a little absent during the month because of work.

I'd agree. A ton of amazing discussions happened in May that I really enjoyed.

I'm completely serious. This is one of the most fun months I've had on MB in a long, long time.


For the month of May, we attempted to avoid the Lounge.

We should make this an annual thing (but you know... like Conan says: a little bull**** every now and then isn't a bad thing). :laughing:
