Finally, someone sees this like I do. It may sound a bit harsh, but honestly, no one looks at it from this view point. I don't think one who commits suicide should automatically be called "selfish". No one knows how much pain and suffering they can have within them..no one besides them. When you are in that state it's not as easy as "Pull yourself together and get over it" "Stop being so depressed" "Stop being selfish"....It is true; no one asks to be born..just as no one asks to suffer miserably of mental illness every day..depressed, lonely, hopeless. No one asks for that. When one is in this state of mind, they feel there's no other way to escape this never ending pain, but to end their lives. Calling them selfish does nothing but worsen the problem.

You're not the type of person who should be idolizing Cobain. It could be hazardous to your health.

I don't idolize him for the things he's done that one may consider "wrong", but for his music, passion, and I feel what he's felt and I know where he's coming from.

I stand corrected. This is the worst thread ever.

Many say it's a painless and peaceful death for the most part, but others say that with newer cars, you won't die because they don't let out as much CO as older models. What about a 04' Toyota Corolla in a two car garage? How long would it take for you to become unconscious? How long until you died? Painless? Your thoughts on this

Get a life!

Problem solved.

OP have you got a plan in place to let us know if you've been successful?

hip hop bunny hop 05-04-2012 06:42 PM

@OP, there are various guides out on there on the internet which detail ways to commit suicide.

How you can go from mocking morality to holding destruction and consumption as somehow blatantly evil or bad is beyond me, but I do agree that it's silly for people to act like a bunch of emos just because some random person wants to off themselves.

Here is a better suicide plan than that my dear. You don't even need a Toyota.
  • Find a two story building that lines a busy street. Go to the roof.
  • String piano wire tight across the front near the ledge. String it about neck level.
  • Get some rope and tie one end to the building and another to your feet. Make sure the length of rope is long enough to suspend you over the edge but short enough so you don't hit the ground.
  • Put some super glue on your hands.
  • Put your arms around the front of the wire and back towards your head. Put you hands on your head.
  • Lean forward so that the piano wire cuts your neck but not your forearms.
  • When the cord goes taut you'll be hanging upside down over the sidewalk with you head outstretched in your arms thanks to gravity and the superglue.
  • Blood will spew everywhere. People will be traumatized for life.

Profit.

I don't see them as blatantly evil or bad, nor do I see where I said that I did. In traditional parlance society sees them as bad, which is of course just a subjective measure of an arbitrary emotive response. I see both as just realities of this existence.

jackhammer 05-04-2012 07:37 PM

If anyone is serious about suicide you jump off the highest point u can or slash your wrists upwards and not across. Everything else if a cry for help and life is never that bad. Trust me.

hip hop bunny hop 05-04-2012 07:51 PM

Hmm, I thought it was strongly implied in the last sentence of the paragraph I quoted earlier. Apologies for the mistake.

edit:

You know, if you're considering suicide, you should read the relevant Encyclopedia Dramatica article. (NSFW)

The fact that there is a discussion on the best way for this person to kill her/himself disgusts me. You guys need to get some ****ing empathy.

VanLeon, send me a private message, if you want. Unlike these awful people, I actually care.

Scarlett O'Hara 05-04-2012 11:42 PM

I just think that if you are asking questions like that there is something not right.

ladyislingering 05-04-2012 11:43 PM

My mother's friend has a son who fell asleep in a garage in a running vehicle with one of his buddies, several years ago. His friend died. Can you imagine waking up after a nap in the car to find your best friend's eyes rolled back in their head and their body completely void of life? Ugh.

I know. What I don't get is why would you pose a question like this, "just for discussion"? Or why would you and your friend have even contemplated it, if there was nothing wrong? It puzzles me.

Thats enough of this thread for me.

I think a lot of the content of this thread is wildly inappropriate. If this is just some general Q&A then there are better places to get knowledge or advice than here. If its more than that then, again, there are places to get information or help.

Google some support groups or help in your area. I think the last seven pages are proof enough that you arent gonna get much of it here.
