Chinese food is better. Ask anybody that lives in Puerto Rico and they'll tell you the same.

What Is The Story Behind Your Username?
http://personalimagesinc.com/blog/wp...5/name-tag.bmp
Tell us the story of why you chose your username[s]! It's as simple as that. It will give all of us MuBa's [Yes, 'm bringing that word back!] a little more insight into our fellow posters and help us all to get to know one another a little better. I will start. I began my MB journey as"oojay." That was a nickname that I had amongst a group of friends in high school. Since I am a Junior [my dad and I have the same name], some people would call me "Junior." That got shortened to "Ju." And then for some reason, it went through pig-Latin and became "oojay." [spelled phonetically]. I dunno, I just went with it. I was like 16 or 17 at the time and thought that it was cool LOL. After that, I was "Donnie Dukes," stylized as [DONNIE -X- DUKES]. This was during a time when I was feeling very creative and had lots of self-confidence and a drive to create. I was healthy. I was training and fighting MMA. I was writing poems and rap lyrics. I was in the best shape of my life. It was right after my divorce and I was trying to re-define myself. My name is Donald, so the "DONNIE" part is a given, and the "DUKES" part, I guess, spoke to the fighting side of me at the time, like "Put up your dukes!" It also could be perceived as a Duke, as in royalty or nobility, since the name "Donald" means "world leader." I truly miss the person that I was back then. My body was in great shape and my low self-esteem was at an all time high LOL. Now, I go by [MERIT]. It is part of the name under which I write [Merit Freeman]. I think the name speaks for itself. It casts aside ideologies and dogmas and evaluates everything on a case-by-case basis, which is my goal. "Freeman," though not a part of my MB username, represents a goal for all [wo]men to be free of segregation and from systems that trap them into servitude. |
I did a search for similar threads and didn't find any. Weird.

Mine's pretty simple, and windsock already mentioned where I got it in another thread. I just took it from a short-lived Lego Space theme in the mid 90's. I never had any Unitron sets, but I always wanted one as a kid, especially the monorail:
https://img.bricklink.com/ItemImage/SL/6991-1.png I think I first used the name in some gaming clan I was part of several years ago just because I thought it was a cool name, and it just kind of stuck. |

The Batlord comes from Bathory and the way the logo looks in Old English font, 66Sexy was just some silly thing I came up with when making my League of Legends screen name, and Dharma & Greg just popped into my head one day and I thought it was funny cause it didn't make any sense as a screen name.

I own a windsock. They're one of those innocuous things I find cool for some reason. I also quite like the term itself.
|
My username is a corruption of previous usernames that I no longer remember, so it may have made sense once, but no longer does. Except the Mic part is because my name is Michael. So previous versions of the name with another prefix actually made even less sense.

You must've really liked this album:

I honestly don't remember why I went with Shazam. It's not even after the superhero either.
|
I couldn't think of anything, so I used my 'safe word'.
|
My real name is Roxanne and I used to be a member of the Stasi.
|
Mine is just something that popped up in my head when thinking of potential band names. I actually found I don't like it that much without the band context, but it is convenient that I get adressed by my real name
|
My real name is W.W., my surname is W-P.

@Maria...
If you weren't such a vibrant person, I'd be suggesting that you change it to "Meh." |
Im actually thinking of doing that. Or toothfairy
