Howard was brave. And I like the fashion choice he made wherever that pic was taken.
Listen lad, I don't hate you, like I have told you on numerous occasions. I just don't find some of the comments on here to be very sincere. If people disagree with me then by all means, keep it open.

Personally I'm not comfortable with locking it and effectively silencing all conversation about the loss of a member of our community. If the comments get too far off topic they can always be deleted, but completely shutting down any conversation seems to me to be extremely disrespectful to both Howard's memory—as a guy who certainly enjoyed the "banter" aspect of this place—and to other members who maybe haven't logged in for a while and are unaware of what has happened.

You have a point Janzoon. I just don't like the insincerity in some of the comments, just makes the initial good intention a bit stale and cringey. I guess this thread could be our monument to Howard.

The presence in the last week or so does feel very different without him. I won't lie, I really really miss seeing his posts. Like, a lot.

Have you considered a possibility that Howard just got sick of the Internet and made a spectacular exit? That he's still alive and well. I prefer to think he's not really dead and will show up in a couple of years, laughing his arse off over this.

I'm new here, so the only conversation I had with him was about Dead Can Dance compilation album... he didn't like it.

Although that would be nice to think, it's not true. A few members on here were friends with him on FB, and his friends and family were leaving condolences on his page. His family announced his death. It's real, unfortunately.

It usually effects me when something that has become normal doesn't happen anymore. In this case, Howard's posts were such a laugh at times and now they don't happen. I don't know, maybe i'm just very sensitive.

I think Neopolitan was being sarcastic.
