I would love to be able to communicate in those six languages and I can become really Multi-Lingual. It would make me more diverse than right now.

Try and concentrate on mastering English before bothering with the rest.

I'm going to get my bilingual status officialized, then i'm going to take some of the summer upgrade courses at my high school so i can go into IB computer science, and then i'm going to finish a painting i was commissioned. After the school year, I'm going to go into IB art and open a gallery. whoop whoop, i got all of this planned.

oh, and hopefully I can forge a better relationship between my stepfather and my boyfriend. it's not fun having a scared boyfriend and an angry stepfather all the time.

I'm going to have some singing lessons and then join a choir.

Which is why I started in December.

And what about people who set dates to quit smoking?

Land the job in the gym my friend works at. Pass college. Get accepted next year. Fix my car and polish it more often. Drink more often with my friends. Take my dog wherever possible. To get a job with a steady income.

It's a good choice imo. Not French specifically, but learning a new language in general. Wish I had started sooner.

How are you going to be learning?

Why French anyway?

Sansa Stark 01-01-2013 09:33 PM

I have a pirated copy of Rosetta Stone, and idk I just like French. I took a class of it last year, I miss it.

LuckyLovexoxoxxx 01-01-2013 09:51 PM

Sorry US but I know enough English although not perfect but I know enough. So it is a good idea for me to get other languages. Plus most of my family members don't know English and they know French, Lingala or Swahili. It would be a good idea to get some so I can communicate with them somewhat.

Well this year is a career building year for me. I'm hoping to finish and gain as many credentials as I can to enter the commercial boating industry. For now, I'm building up to be a master driver and live most of my life on the sea.

Apart from that I'm planning to delve into arts: sound artistry, imagery (mostly surrealism), fine arts, sculptures and literary arts.

It's begun with settling into a new scenic place which has been inspiring a new journey. I've left every pitiful thing I've put myself through behind, a point where self discovery is under way. Hopefully I can finally build an actual life and gain a better understanding.

misspoptart 01-02-2013 02:32 AM

I'll try to stop half-assing. I'm going to pick something I've been doing at 50% (learning Turkish, thinking about the possibility of maybe trying to become a sortof DJ, playing violin, and video editing) and start giving it my 100%.

It's really stupid at times: high school urges you to be well rounded, and liberal arts school slings a variety of useless subjects at you, and now I'm here in my adult life facing 1,000,000 possible life paths. I think it's time to stop trying to combine a variety of passions and just focus on something. I feel so ADD sometimes.

:banghead:

Hopefully I can find one thing to do wholeheartedly this year.

FETCHER. 01-02-2013 04:54 AM

I might actually try and pick up an instrument this year, I've been saying it long enough.

Bloozcrooz 01-02-2013 05:26 AM

I've been using AutoCad for over 20 years now (as well as SolidWorks, and ProE). If you plan on using it for creating works of art, then that's all good, but if you plan on becoming a drafter, then please, PLEASE, learn the disciplines of drafting FIRST. I can't tell you how many new kids come in here (my work), and don't know baseline dimensioning from a centerline symbol.

VB is getting phased out. You'd be better off going with Java for now, but you should seiously look into .NET.

My goal is to quit screwing around and make a serious album.

That's good to hear.

You must be the only person ever never to break a NY resolution if you do this every year.

Sansa Stark 01-12-2013 01:23 PM

Well I found a dude, I haven't banged him yet

ZCamp101 01-14-2013 01:21 AM

I plan to manage our finances so that we can be debt free before the year ends. :)

Mr. Charlie 12-28-2013 07:46 PM

I hope to live another year. I quite like it.

Taxman 12-29-2013 02:37 AM

I hope I'll become a better person. Also I'd like to buy a bass guitar cos my lord in heaven told me it is the second coolest instrument ever. I still prefer electric fart, though, but they're hard to find.

Plankton 12-29-2013 10:32 AM

I was reading through some of these from last year, and wondering... did any of you actually accomplished the goals you set for the year?

Not quite sure what I want to achieve next year. A new car is definitely at the top of my most wanted list. Maybe exercise more regulary, maintain a better diet and quit smoking for good (the same old crap everyone says but never sticks to).

I am excited about finishing so I can work in the industry. I'm considering getting a part time job to get more experience. That's my goal for this upcoming year. I did lose weight so I'm going to have more salads and fruits in 2014. I want to read more novels and swim every week. I've really missed swimming and after a delicious swim at the beach over Xmas, I'm totally going to do it. I want to move into a flat and continue buying amazing clothes for $1 at the hospice. I will be going to Dunedin to visit friends and parents, me and mom are going to watch le mis with cup cakes and high tea like the cross dressing ladies in Little Britain. I want to join a group on meet ups to see people (like me) who have health issues, as well as maybe a hiking group. I want to add more to my journal and develop my spirituality. So basically I have lots of things I could develop to help me be the best I can be. Fashion wise I have an amazing wardrobe, I think many people get too wound up about brands rather than spending less and gaining better items you can mix and match.

DarkSkies 12-29-2013 06:47 PM

I would like to contribute to my saving account more than draw from it.

Dulce 12-29-2013 11:02 PM

2013 was a complete total b!tch to me. SO I welcome 2014! Will I get to take over the world?

The Batlord 12-30-2013 09:41 AM

In 2014 I pledge to stop talking about it and finally hide in Scarlett Johansson's bushes.

bar tending school... something constructive to do in my time... I mean for some that's doesn't drink... (which I don't) BUT IT WILL BE COMEDIC GOLD after it's over and I get placed... being a chef works well but I want something on the side.. So I AM NOT RAVING AGAINST MY WILL at one am with my neighbors...

The best of luck, I hope you get the type of job you want. A lot of companies often look for experience over results so any type of experience is hugely beneficial, even if it's just a summer internship. Once you get your foot inside the door of any IT company and impress them you're well on your way.

In the new year my main aim is to complete my Masters and get a job with a certain multinational technology company, who have a campus in my town. Other than that I'm aiming to keep up my routine of regular exercise and make it to the other end of the year alive.
