Things that make you feel sad/ down

In light of Tommy's emotional thread I figured we needed a topic like this. Whenever you're feeling down just post about it in here. The others and I will then support you, relate to you and generally do the nice stuff to make you feel good.
Im gonna make another thread 'Post your Joy'. Gee I wonder whatcha gotta d it that one..

Okay, i will start with something trivial... I am sad tht the tickets for The League Of Gentlemen for are almost thirty quid and nearly sold out so there is no time to save up so i will not be able to go. *sobs*

Sneer 05-29-2005 12:31 PM

the fact i have ****in art to do in my half term break. so pissed off.

adidasss 05-29-2005 12:47 PM

something fu.cked up happened recently, my sister's friend ( and my good acquaintance ) almost died from over medicating herself with tranquilizers ( she's a junkie and she did that because she didn't have any drugs ), right now she's in a coma and i'm hoping and praying she'll wake up and be ok...her heart stopped twice and they had to revive her...i've been sorta preparing myself ( and my sister too ) for this for 5 years, because i knew ( despite her assuring us otherwise ) that her continuing drug abuse could only result in death...she thought she had it under control, as they all do, there was no talking her out of it, it was stronger then her...

Sneer 05-29-2005 12:50 PM

the perils of drugs. sorry about your freind. why was i quoted?

adidasss 05-29-2005 01:02 PM

sorry, i meant to say something but changed my mind, took care of it...

what made me even more sad was the reaction of my family when my sister left work ( she works in my family's firm ) to come to where i am at the moment to see her...they were really pissed, they think junkies are human garbage and don't deserve attention, my sister and i were really hurt and angry about that, it was really insensitive, the lack of sympathy for another human being , and from the members of your own family...it made me sad...( man, now i've started to talk about my sh.it, and i was trying to avoid doing that on this forum...it is a music forum after all...but you asked for it..:))

^Yeah, people can be really cruel, but if the situation was the other way around, they'd treat it completely differently. Its always different if it involves someone you love, rules can always change.

Hmm, ok Im gonna stop getting all serious and emotional now... Sorry bout this girl though, I hope things sort out for you all.. Drugs can be a bitch. Ive lost people to drugs, but Ive also seen people live through all of it, so there's always hope... You just gotta stick with her.

*Ahem* Sorry, I dont mean to get all serious, I tend to get everyone all depressed when I do...

well it's a serious thread and a serious matter, and thanks for sentiment...i really hope she pulls through, so i can slap the sh.it out of her for being so stupid...
i've tried explaining it to my family, but it's like talking to a wall, and they pretend to be christians and go to church...whilst compassion and care for others is one of the fundamental messages of christianity...
there was an even worse situation a couple of years ago when my sister's friend died...5 days after her funeral they were starting to get annoyed that my sister was spending so much time with her friends family, when all she wanted to do was help them get through it, to be with them in their time of need, to ease their pain...they didn't get it and still don't...it made me so sad...

Yep, beliefs and such can be abandoned quickly when it effects their own lives, its something that really gets to me. Im not gonna carry on with this post much, Ill start talking about my experiences with this kinda thing, and thats never good news. So Ill just say that I hope everything sorts out for this girl you know, just stick with her and Im sure she'll be completely fine. And also, dont let your family get to you... Families are tricky things, they tend to cause more problems than they solve.

Imonlydancing 05-30-2005 03:35 AM

yeah, sorry addidasss, it must be hard. Sometimes its like, you don't know what to do or say, do you keep it in, but its better to get it out. AITA, i agree about the family thing.

Mmmm...well my neighbour who is the same age as me and his brother who is younger have been through a lot with their parents but last night suddenly, their mother died from cancer. The saddest thing is that they were completely unprepared for her death as she'd kept it a secret for so long. The two boys are only very young so it could break them and I'm not sure if there's anything I can do to comfort them...

holdyoualways 05-30-2005 02:38 PM

i actually havent been stressed out or depressed in a long time. probably cuz i got over that loser crush of mine. oh happy days. im free! oh, sorry. im supposed to be upset. :(

People who get pets (mainly dogs) and don't treat them well, or leave them on a chain in the backyard.

there's nothing you can do but be there for them, maybe spend some time with them, and just listen...they have to deal with it themselves, and as heartless as this may seem, the sun will rise again tomorrow and they will go on with their lives , eventually...i had a couple of friends that lost one of their parents at that age...speaking from a Christian viewpoint ( and i've talked about this with my sister ), our sadness for the ones we've lost is selfish, we're not sad for them but for ourselves because we won't enjoy their company anymore, the people who have died have gone to a better place...but we'll be reunited once again...soon, because, when you look at the big picture, life is but a second, it passes by so quickly...

Hearing about people who overdose.
Watching pets get dragged down a road by a car or shot.
Having family members die from diseases.
Contemplating my position in conformity.
Hearing about impoverished children who can't eat and have tsetse flies in and on their bodies.
I've been sad a little more because I got off of all the IB Profin I had been on for about 4 months.

pastor of muppets 05-30-2005 11:10 PM

People in burberry thinking 50 Cent is the greatest thing in music ever & watching movies with Vin Diesel in them.
