highschool ages - girls realize guys are chasing them. they get hit on. guys tryna bone them. they have sex and maybe are in a relationship. it becomes clear to them that guys lust after them sometimes regardless of their actions. pussy on the pedestal, high school guys all doin it, cmon you've seen the 40 yr old virgin where that guy says it


college - girls aware the leverage and power they have over men. plus this is when girls are at their hottest. let loose, be slutty, have fun. thoughts reinforced by getting into every party for free and hardly payin for drinks. its a trade off for sex but they realize they dont have to even have sex. its just the perk of bein attractive. guys willin to give free stuff and priority just for the increased chance of sex. like i said, reinforcing thoughts


after college - now 22-26. if single still realize the leverage they hold but it starts to fade as they age. others are getting married, having kids, etc etc. everyone more focused on starting a career, less partyin and stuff like that

late 20s - tables turn and guys have the leverage. guys have seen the error of their ways when they were younger, puttin the pussy on the pedestal like they used to isnt happenin. single men, with good careers now hold the power cause the brain is less sex crazed or maybe priorities change. lots of late 20s women who gained a few pounds, maybe had a kid but is single. now nobody is bendin over backwards for them like they used to

For the most part I agree with 216. Burning down dont forget he is talking about many females not ALL. Same could be said for guys who just spend their entire youth chasing after girls that mean nothing to them.

I think society puts the idea in many girls heads that all they are good for is looking good for men, when in reality they should be taught to go out and have ambition/create a career for themselves. Guys are guilty of the same thing for sure, they just dont have it aas easy in that regard since they dont hold to key to sex.

All those reality shows like Jershey shore and such are just further pushing the idea that a female is their to pick the best mate and have sex with them. It is not 100 AD anymore, that is not the case but pop culture sure doesnt tell you that.

Yes, girls are often represented in ways that promotes the thought pattern that they are sex symbols and good for nothing but appearances/sexual desire. But a lot of the attitudes here (and elsewhere) merely promote this view, rather than supporting the fact that females have way more to offer than this, so how do you expect that to change?

I think it has something to do with instinctively when single people see someone in a relationship that they want and tend to flirt with. They know that they have qualities that are good for a person that's in a relationship.

Of coarse guys perpetuate this view. Guys are just as guilty if not more guilty than the average female for this. I dont promote this view at all, but I am not going to lie and say I dont see it every day. For every girl with that way of thinking their is probably 2 guys her equal just as brainless and non self thinking.

also the reason ppl are more desirable when in relationships is cause ppl look at their partner. and if they look at their partner and think 'hey thats a pretty attractive, well adjusted non douchebag' then the fact they are dating them gives reason to believe they must have really good qualities about them
