The Relationship Thread.

This is a thread for all things related to relationships. Wither you want to declare your undying love for your other half (BOAK) or if you want to express how much you want to freaking murder them.

I thought the thread was a good idea to exchange advice, stories and troubles :).

I'm not actually in a relationship (forever alone) so I can't start the thread off haha.

Black Francis 04-11-2013 09:08 AM

Perfect timing!!

i just had a HUGE fight yesterday with my girl cause she was acting like a bitch
i even gave her an ultimatum, i said "if you walk away, don't you DARE CALL ME AGAIN"

5 hrs later after our fight she calls again and me like AN IDIOT picks it up. *Facepalm*

i forgive too easily, i should really stick to my threats U_U

FETCHER. 04-11-2013 09:16 AM

Haha that sounds like something I'd do, I'm a softie.

Why were you guys fighting? I hope it was just something stupid.

You mean the "friend with benefits"?

Who cares? If they're bumping uglies then it's relevant.

We were fighting about her using me and my stuff

see, she goes out with her friends and doesn't invite me then at the end of the night she ends up in my apt looking to crash there and smoke all my cigarettes!

i luv her and all, but she's a f*ckin mooch

she's always using my sh*t but she's never holding!!

add to that she parties like a f*ckin socialite but on other's ppl expense not her own and when she DOES have money she uses it all on herself.

@Batford

Yup, that girl..
we're officially dating now though

but see? now i care too much!!

I know a few people like that, that's why I ended up falling out with my best mate (except he's my cousin too and literally said "so you're buying weed and smoking it without me?" YES BECAUSE YOU NEVER ****ING PAY YOU ARSEHOLE) but anyway, cigarette mooches can be annoying but it's a forgivable crime, it also seems pathetic for someone to moan about getting their cigs smoked but it is really annoying. Have you told her you wanna be able to go out too? That it would be nice for a change instead of you waiting on her all night to let her in.

Janszoon 04-11-2013 09:46 AM

I would like to express my undying love for my other half.

Sorry. :)

Hey man, I wouldn't mind sharing weed expenses. Mi casa es su casa, broseph.

Exactly!
thank you for saying it for me i have that same problem with her over weed
She luvs to smoke.. but doesn't buy it!! >_<

And it's not like i want her to buy me those things, i always buy my own ****
but what DOES bother me is when she uses all her stuff up and then wants to use mine!

it's not fair i think :(

And you know the main reason i always let her in?

The girl is a good lay
strike that, A GREAT LAY!

also cause i care for her <3

The Batlord 04-11-2013 10:06 AM

Sounds like you're her doormat. So long as you allow yourself to be a doormat she has no incentive to not treat you like one. Unless I'm missing something it's pretty much as simple as that.

In a way you're right but she does other nice things for me
she only does this when she's partying

but ive always been a bit of a push over for the ppl i care for
little sh*t like this DOES bother me but it's not the end of the world

PoorOldPo 04-11-2013 10:51 AM

Last relationship I had was a complete **** up. But we will probably still always be friends, even though she really ****ed me over.

Key 04-11-2013 11:24 AM

I love the relationship I am currently in. Honestly couldn't ask for more than what I already have, because what I have is perfect. :)

Plankton 04-11-2013 11:44 AM

I've been with my girl for 15 years. If she farted along with 10 other women, I'd be able to pick hers out.

Sharing is caring :) but I'm not gonna keep his weed habit going when I can barely keep my own going. Guys a douche, we haven't spoke in over a month now because he basically thinks everything that is mines is his, including my car. He thinks he is entitled to a lift for free at any time. Doesn't work like that mate!

I'd also like to express my undying love for my other half. Only so Kayleigh gets nauseous.

BTW, does anyone else hate the term "significant other" or is it just me?

Only slightly less than "Shawty".

duga 04-11-2013 12:26 PM

I've never minded it, but now that you have me thinking about it, it's kind of annoying me...

Anyway, I'm in a great relationship. Been engaged for about a month now, in fact. Sadly, we are doing a long distance thing until I graduate this semester.

Congratulations duga! Long distance would be hard but it will be worth it all in the end :).

I hate when people call each other 'babe' and similar stuff but I'm not really affectionate at all, which is probably a bit of a problem for some people.

Key 04-11-2013 12:41 PM

^I don't like the words baby, or babe either. However, i'm pretty fond of the term significant other. I usually just call her "Dear" though. It's every once in a while when we call each other by our names :P

Burning Down 04-11-2013 12:45 PM

Oh yeah, I hate "babe" and "baby" as well. We've managed to avoid saying them to each other.

Key 04-11-2013 12:46 PM

I've never said it. It just seems derogatory and doesn't sit well with me when i'm talking about the person I love.

FETCHER. 04-11-2013 12:58 PM

It actually makes me cringe. It's so cheesy and horrible.

Cuthbert 04-11-2013 01:01 PM

+1 for 'babe' and 'baby'.

My ex used 'babe' all the time, I just used to reply "cheers mate". Did her head in

Not really, but I do hate "partner". Sounds like you run a law firm together or something.

I worked at a summer camp where the counsellors had to make up a nickname that the girls would call you by (it's an all girls camp). So instead of calling you your first name or Miss/Mrs. ________, they'd use the nick.

One of my coworkers had the name Babycakes, so your post reminded of that. She said it's a name that her fiance gave her and so she just used it, lol.

 I hate that term as well! I just go with the appropriate BF/GF, husband/wife, fiance... or just simply DATE if it's on an invite or something (like "You can bring a date to this party!")

Are there any habits that the other person has that bother you? Or habits that your ex had, etc.

mmmmm... *thinking*

well there is one thing that bothers me, i hate when all she wants to talk about is herself

sometimes her stories are just irrelevant, like she will tell me what she ate during the day and everything she went through
and im just there silently nodding to everything and what is f*cked up is that SHE KNOWS im not that interested and instead of changing the subject to something interesting she just keeps rambling on..

And god forbid i ignore her cause then
"I don't care about her" *Cue the fake tears*

it's not that it bothers me THAT much, some days im genuinely interested

but i wish we would talk more often about serious things.. or at least things we both enjoy talking about

Yeah, complimenting other men in front of me. I didn't like it, normally it wouldn't bother me but she was relentless about it and something about it didn't sit right with me. Just made me feel dead awkward.

Needless to say it didn't end well (she cheated ), would not date a girl like that ever again.

LOL!

but at least we care enough fake interest right? (or is that just me?)

Cause i don't wanna be rude or anything but like, if i talk to my girl about an anime or videogame she would just roll her eyes at me and continue her story
