Even apart from being cheap its quick preparation and general noodliness make it ideal for people who like to get high. And it doesn't spoil, so you can have heaps lying around and don't have to go out to buy food.

Its weird, started off being not too fond of the stuff, then it was just available more and more, other **** less and less until thats all we had and then it became sickening. But now, its just something i crave relatively often. Just because i smoke weed doesnt mean i like ramen, or somethig like that.
