The Allmighty KNIFE Thread

So how many of you miscreants carry knives? Or perhaps even collect them? Do you go camping/hiking with them? Do you cook with them in your kitchen...? Ill start ****birds.

Post pictures and discuss.

Don't carry one. I think the law here is anything over 2 inches is illegal and the knife can't lock into place. You are fhucked if you're caught with an illegal knife here.

Pointless anyway, most people won't use one and if it's on you and you're attacked it can be used against you.

Plus I'm hard as nails anyway.

You said do I carry a knife. Going fishing isn't carrying a knife, it's going fishing.

And you've got a knuckle duster there, lol at non combat.

Lol at the fact I was referring to the statement you said about not needing to protect yourself so no need for a knife. I was making a point (quite obvious one) that knives have many uses beyond stabbing people. And lol at the fact that I collect knives so what does that have to do with anything...

I said it was pointless carrying one in a public place, can't just take bits of my post and twist it m8.

If you ask someone if they carry a knife I reckon most people would assume in your pocket when you're walking down the street or whatever.

There is no need for me to carry a knife in my pocket in a public place. That's what I said, not that knives have no uses.

Perhaps that is because of the knife laws being so strict where you are. (Which I think is utterly absurd) In America so many people carry knives that whipping one out evenin a public place usually is fine, as long as it isnt some 7 inch ww2 knife or machete. I couldnt imagine not having some kind of cutting tool with me. If I really cant have a pocket knife then I at least always have a Swiss Army Knife on my keychain that has tweezers toothpic file and small knife. I use it soooo much.

i carry a small multi tool knife in my pocket almost all the time. you just never know when it could be needed and its not inconvenient to have one. i had a friend about 4 years ago stab a mugger in the neck in the city. since then ive pretty much always carried a knife on me. plus sometimes i get drunk and end up in random places with shady people. so it does make me feel more confident safety wise and also its just practical

Brass knuckles are knives?

I have some various knives. I have a couple Spyderco's which I use for various utlities and cutting various things. I also have a few Ruger knives which were built for military use I just bought because they were so reasonable. I agree that knives are so multi-purpose and useful that carrying it strictly for sticking piggies is almost an afterthought. I use them fishing primarily and sometimes for cutting things when I work on cars and houses. I love the spyderco's but theyre ridiculously priced.

Nice lil collection you got going there Rez. As I remember it you were the guy with the Sig also right?
