Trollheart do you actually speak Irish?

Always thought it was interesting how Scotland, Wales and Ireland have their own languages and many people speak them and they're fluent in English too. Think the Isle of Man does too. And Cornwall.

with all the due respect, your Spanish absolutely sucks, guys! But the phrases were hilarious! So congratulations anyway!

well we were taught it but like most of the pupils in any school I was more interested in drawing little cowboys on the schoolbooks than listening, and it's a hard language.

Some bits that stuck: "Conas ata tu?" (cun-us a-taw- too) "How are you?"
"Dia is Muire agat" (dee-ya iss mirra a-gut) "Hi!" literally, God and Mary be with you
Every Irish child remembers "An bhfuil cead agam dul amach go dti an leithreas?" (on will kee-ad a-gum dull a-mock guh dee on leh-her-iss?) Can I go out to the toilet?
Go n'eirigh an bothar leat (guh ny-ree on boh-here lat) May the road rise with you (old Irish blessing for travellers)
and of course the IRA one: "Tiocadh ar la!" (chuck-ee our law) Our day will come!

Hey, not too bad if I say so myself!

So basically, "May you have to walk uphill all day". The Irish are dicks.

Yeah. The full thing is "May the road rise before you and may the wind be at your back". In other words, may there be no obstacles in your path. Hey, what do I know? I didn't invent the phrase. It's a sight better than "have a nice day" though, isn't it?

So you'd rather I have an unnecessarily tiring trip than have a day that isn't unpleasant? Dick.
