I like Christmas but this hype and all this make me sick. It would be nice just to eat good food and be with your loved ones but... Don't wanna say that commercialism sucks cos it would be pretentious, but I guess you see what I mean

I'm getting the daughter a PS4, getting the GF a new fancy full length mirror, and a 32" flat screen TV. Then there's all the nieces and nephews... ugh.

This is the time of year where I go broke.

Best thing about this year is that I get to spend it with my Dad, which I haven't done for decades.

Xmas is beyond amazing; snow and whatnot is non-existent here: we'll cool down on a terrace on a balmy night, meat, and the family falling out over politics.

On the one hand you like mouse but not pudding, but on the other you eat BBQ for Christmas. So are you pretentious or white trash? I'm confused.

She's a lucky girl.

I know. She could be getting an XBone. *shudder*

I love Christmas, it's such a great excuse to spend time with my family. This year I am going down to Dunedin (where I was brought up) to have Christmas dinner at my nana's. I love having a roast or bbq, opening presents as soon as we wake up and slob out after we've finished our meal.

Every year I've made an attempt to get her something pricey. PC's, Laptops, Game Consoles, Money... last year it was a car. It just took me more time to get the funds together. She really deserves it though. She works 6 nights a week and goes to college full time.

Chip off the old block she is.

How do you people pronounce that? We have a neighborhood by that name where I live and the people around here insist on pronouncing it like "Done eatin'".

It's pronounced Dun-Ed-Din.

Xmas ads are already on the telly here. I swear they get earlier (and worse!) each year.
