It's more hostile there because its full of pretentious yuppies and middle aged experienced musicians who think they know everything about playing intruments and listening to music.
Pretentious people on a classical forum? That's pretty hard to imagine.

I wish I were more pretentious, I'd be like Ursula and control the sea.

Try working with them! So frustrating. If they are 50 or 60 and over, it gets worse.

That's kind of a cool idea Exo. Mine made me giggle. I actually still like most of those bands, just many many more. Love seeing how some of y'alls tastes have evolved.

jackhammers in particular. Although I don't think he made the one shown until long after he'd joined.

Not many people (if any) will remember this about Lee, but he first joined under another username. Mushy/mushy if I recall correctly? Some of the mods can check that out?
I hope he doesn't mind me bringing this up, but he had a rough ride under that name from several members, not long after he joined.
So much so, he quit the forum in disgust.
A couple of emails later (not one for letting a good potential member go easily) I managed to convince him to return, or at least convince him it wasn't a bad place after all?

The rest is history.
He was modded less than 6 months after joining, no?

I bet it was sleepy jack & co. who gave him ****
