Here's a local hillside letter that I can see (and walk to) from my house. I hike up there often and it is one hell of a hike, I'll tell you that. It's a great way to wear out my young dog and it's something of a party zone for me at this point.

I conquered that hill and put my stamp on it. Just the first letter of my name, since the rest of it would've been overkill. Everybody knows what that P stands for.

How could you forget Captain John's Floating Seafood Restaurant? It has been closed for a couple of years now, but the guy who owns it is from Croatia originally, and he owes over a million dollars in back taxes to the city over this ship. The ship used to be a luxury Mediterranean cruise ship from Yugoslavia, and then this guy bought it and sailed it all the way here to open a fine dining seafood restaurant.

It's starting to rust and rot underneath now and it's actually stuck in mud. It's the ugliest thing on the Toronto water front, I think.

Oh yeah. What an eyesore. The ship should at least be painted to hide the massive rust stains.

San Jose, California, where I used to live, has this sculpture of Quetzalcoatl downtown which looks lot more like a pile of shit than a god. The rumor is that this was not an accident, the artist was apparently upset at the city's handling of the commission and this was his revenge.

Quetzalcoatl is a winged serpent, so yes it's sort of a snake god or dragon god. I can't overstate how much this thing looks like a pile of shit when you see it in person. The first time I saw it, from across the street, I literally couldn't figure out what it could possibly be aside from a pile of shit and was wondering why the city would have a sculpture of that. I had to go right up to it to see that it was supposed to be Quetzalcoatl.

I live in the suburbs of New York City.

There is about a million things to see and not a one of them interests me enough anymore.
