I believe it was either Frownie or Exo who told me that most professors don't bother to even read papers, just make sure you did your MLA **** and got the class number right.

i think this is the 5th one and the first shit one i've done. it didn't make up a lot of marks for the year so no big deal even if i failed it, i just would have missed out on valuable % but still, tend to start shitting myself before i have one due in and then until i get my results.

It was me and I live in California, though. All of my professors are hippy twats who don't even know how to read. Thou shalt not generalize my rather sweet anecdotes.

Nah, I think you're right in general. I've turned in half-assed bull**** written in the hour before they were due and gotten a hundred. I doubt professors give a flying **** what you say so long as you get the basic gist.

I'd like to think that this isn't true of post-graduate work, though. I don't want my doctor to be bound by the same laws of mediocrity that I am.

That feeling when your brother gives you his telescope and it's a bloody goodun.

I now have telescope envy :( thanks, pal

Haha. No worries. ;)

It really is a beauty. A 6 inch schmidt-cassegrain design, fully motorised, built in computer system with over 2000 objects, and a host of eyepieces and filters, just need to get myself a mains extension and some clear nights. It's one of these:
