This is true. It all depends on the relationship you have with social media. Some people do have a healthy relationship with it. But personally, I found that I'd be given unsubstantiated stupid political hot-take opinions in my feed that would just make me irritated and would make me want to respond, an urge I usually resisted because it typically ended up being a giant waste of my time.

He's hardly even a juggalo he's a cyber goth and you guys are far from being the first to tell me this.

We have a mutual friend that he's always around so I tolerate him. My mutual friend is much smarter. Bat isn't too wrong though. Not really a juggalo thing, IMO, but holy **** social media has truly exposed how stupid my friends are.

A different one flipped out on somebody for agreeing with him. He said, "Prisoners do more to prevent pedophilia than the law.", which is already stupid when you take 2 seconds to think about who puts the pedophiles in with prisoners the first place, then my friend shared an article about how law enforcement gives extremely light sentences to agree and he flipped out and called him a pedophile defender. Like, holy ****.

I quit social media a couple years back because of this sort of thing. It really shows the inherent problems with giving every dumb ass who can move his/her fingers a microphone. Not to mention that it's toxic as hell and no one ever wins an argument on social media. You can't persuade anyone of anything. And the algorithms are designed to infuriate you and play on your emotions to get you to stay on the site and engage for as long as possible so they can maximize their ad revenue. **** Facebook and **** Twitter.
