Same thing happens with me when people are talking crap about me in Spanish. I tell them off in English though instead of Spanish.

Well the worst part is that they weren't even talking about me. It was a bunch of girls talking about my girlfriend. I know it makes me sound like some kind of white knight but I don't care.

There isn't anything wrong with sticking up for your gf. I wouldn't consider that "white knighting".

I know there's nothing wrong with that or with sticking up for my girlfriend. But I just thought people would think of it in that way.

Wtf! How dare they do that, they need to realise that she a beautiful and kind person. Don't worry about white knighting, if it's your girlfriend then it's important to tell tell them off.
