Every single time I've lucid dreamt I was too apathetic to elaborate on that fact. My thought process is always along the lines of "whoa wait, that would never ever happen. I feel high in a weird way but I know I haven't taken anything new. I'm totally dreaming. That's cool." Then I get distracted and do something else. The weight of realizing that I'm dreaming is about the same as the weight of realizing that my shoes have laces.
