One word; Islay. Laphraoig, Caol Isla, Lagavulin. If you're going to drink scotch you better fucking doing it right, peated out the ass and smoky as the devil's jizz.

Great recommendations in here. I'd like to second Dalmore. If you don't mind blends, DeWarr's White Label is on the cheaper side and has the added benefit of being a scotch you can find in most bars that won't bankrupt you.

idk if you have tried the Green Label Jack Daniels but far superior than the black label one that everyone likes to drink with coke.

Ahh okay. I just tried out bourbon for the first time and I don't mind it.

I may move onto Gin next and I have taking a strong liking to cognacs.

Most of that stuff is too "syrupy" for me. And I don't like clear alcohol at all by itself. I don't mind Gin and tonic with some lime if it's high quality Gin, but straight? Nah.

Yeah I noticed you mentioned earlier that you don't like sweeter stuff as well and that's like my weakness when I get mix drinks or when I chase stuff. Clear alcohol is good for mixing with other juices.
