Literally... :(

I was reading another thread and to no surprise someone misused the word irony. It reminded me of this:

According to the dictionary, “literally” now also means “figuratively” - Salon.com

I am not a grammar nazi by any means and I'm sure my posts include a lot of errors but this just seems so wrong. At least I try to be correct.

Capitalizing the word "irony" in the post above is not grammatically correct.

lol dictionaries are ****ing retarded. language is ever evolving but not in this way, why have any word have any concrete meaning at all anymore?

DwnWthVwls 05-21-2014 11:48 AM

Idk what your talking about you edited my quote... :P *fixed*

and why have any word concrete? seriously? Because if go flogged later cat's red inside the jungle gym.

I'm not against adding new definitions to words but to make a word mean two things completely opposite from one another because people are too stupid to use it properly is just preposterous.
