I was reading another thread and to no surprise someone misused the word irony. It reminded me of this:
According to the dictionary, “literally” now also means “figuratively” - Salon.com I am not a grammar nazi by any means and I'm sure my posts include a lot of errors but this just seems so wrong. At least I try to be correct.

and why have any word concrete? seriously? Because if go flogged later cat's red inside the jungle gym. I'm not against adding new definitions to words but to make a word mean two things completely opposite from one another because people are too stupid to use it properly is just preposterous. |
