I'm trying to view his suicide as more of a gonzo-esque spur that he was at peace with, as oppose to a long, deep seeded crippling bout of depression.

It's not reasonable to assume, but that's what I'd like to believe i guess.

well even tho israelis are killing bunch of palestinian civilians(including kids), the world is blind to that for some reason but when an 63-year old multimillionaire actor commits suicide its somehow sad and everyone should put their attention towards that..

Even if it doesn't make any sense, RIP i enjoyed his movies.

Well then I expect you to give all your money to charity instead of spending it on video games, fast food, the internet, Cable TV, a cellphone, MUSIC, or going to see Robin Williams movies. If you're that against frivolity in the face of human suffering then you should also be against frivolous spending while there are starving children in Africa. Otherwise you would just be a self-righteous hypocrite looking for attention by being a douche in a thread about a person who has just died.

first off he didnt die he commited suicide, its not natural and no one has the right to do it, and no reason can explain it.i didnt say anything about the actor i just said that the dead civilians should be the bigger concern, he was 63..kids are dying..didnt say anything about mine or his wealth i just noted it.just like im noting that there are victims which didnt deserve or want to die are worth the mourning, not some dude who decided to kill himself, im not judging just saying my thoughts..

I don't get it, he didn't die? Pretty sure he died. The way he went is irrelevant. What exactly does Robin Williams have to do with starving children? I hate it when people always bring this up.

Suicide is a touchy topic and I disagree with the way you look at it. The right is not for somebody else to dictate, and no, there are reasons. I doubt many people decide to end their lives without a reason. Depression is a HUGE reason... it alters your mind state.

The dead civilians should definitely be a big concern, but once again, what does that have to do with Robin Williams? If someone important to you died would you not mourn them... because starving kids and dead civilians that you realistically can't even help much in the first place? Why would you put all that guilt on your shoulders for? You gonna do anything about it? No. I doubt it.

You obviously don't know anything about depression or suicide. I think it's funny that you're shoving your moral balls down people's throats like you have some guilt driven obligation to judge tragedy based on how 'important' it is. It is sad all around. Trying to imply that there is a difference between any of it is just stupid really.
