I feel like you had a big stream of consciousness epiphany after smoking a big doob. Read that again after you aren't high anymore.

Pleasure is nothing more than an evolutionary tool to ensure the survival of our species. Pleasure is also fleeting. Learning and maturing is what makes a "superior human" as you like to put it. Pleasure, pain, indifference...if you are not learning from those experiences, you are not getting anything out of life.
