I am super sensitive emphatically also, always have been. This is the reason I am not touchy feely with people but that's not related to my soul that's related to the fact that I litterally feel a **** load of things that people have gone through emotionally in their lives by a handshake. I have felt, darkness, pain, and anguish, as well as elation equivalent to the happy buzz one gets from champagne.

I fully expect to be laughed at for this. So y'all need to just stop ya judgmental bastards but you asked me in earnest I will respond.

i was just curious cause you asked if anyone else felt that way and i had no idea what it feels like. i can relate to some of what you're saying though i've never jumped in front of a gun and you're probably a much better person than i am (not being sarcastic). i just attribute everything i feel to my brain and not my soul, cause that's what scientists say is true and i basically just believe them.

tbh i had that sort of crisis when i was about 19 or so. eventually i just stopped caring about it all that much. there was no reasoning or rationale to this change of heart really. you just get used to an idea and then grow to accept it over time. you get a pretty good run out of life if you are born under the right circumstances, which almost everyone here with net access most certainly was.

I haven't felt crippling existential terror about death for years, but that doesn't mean I'm cool with the idea. I can deal for the moment since I don't see any way to attain immortality for the foreseeable future, but if it ever becomes a possibility then you bet your ass I ain't dyin' for ****. All my acceptance and rationalizations are going right out the window and I'm gonna get me some eternal life.

Why should I care what the universe does or does not owe me? It's not even an object, let alone an inanimate one, so I don't owe it anything either. Anything in said universe is mine to do with as I will and I'll do what I like and want what I want.

i agree that it's basically a consolation prize to accept death. if there's any other option i'll take it as well. and the universe comment is just to put into perspective how entitled people feel they are to exist forever in eternal bliss. if you can't put a positive spin on 80 years of life and consciousness on this beautiful planet then you don't deserve it imo.

I'm. exstremly sef aware.
And their isnt **** that anyone can say about those countless exsperiences I have gone through personally.

Entitled? I have to earn life? There's no such thing as deserving life. We're all just a collection of atoms that just so happen to be self-aware. Life is nothing but our perception of a weird quirk of existence. Whether it's egotism that I want to live forever is irrelevant. I don't have to justify my desiring life. The simple fact that I want to live forever is as much justification as I need.

you don't have to do anything. you've been given a gift, and its not the best possible gift in the world cause your parents aren't infinitely rich. it's up to you what you do with it at that point.
