Sexiest Member (female): Vanilla, the bold, is surely the sexiest as various lounge posts testify. RoxyRolla has an open and honest beauty, while,in a different style, Burning Down can break hearts by being so modest.
Biggest Fanboy of the Year: FPK, who is avatar/name/post obsessed with Franco and Pépé Kálle. PetSounds for his devotion to the Beach Boys.
Biggest Fangirl of the Year: I always enjoy LadyisLingering´s confessions of her doomed passion for Marc Bolan.
Best Writer: Trollheart´s many album reviews are exemplars of the form; amusing, but with lots of track-by-track detail.Lord Larehip for his encyclopaedic “History Of ...” threads
Nicest member: James; well, he wrote something so nice about me recently! Ki is gentle soul who allows us into his life, with his pics, cats and girlfriend, and never takes offense. Briks is also friendly to everyone, and is decent enough to include me despite our age difference.
Smartest poster: Urban has a very sure hand when he sees thread or posters heading off in a pointless direction. His posts are often short, but worth paying attention to.
Funniest member: Is this for best jokes, or most jokes? Actually, Batlord is my nom for both categories.
Angriest Member: When GuitarBizarre is roused from his usual genial manner he has a devastating debating style unequalled on MB.
Best Mediator: Janszoon can always be trusted to be impartial, for which he has everyone´s respect and nobody´s animosity. His trademark smiley can send a pretty effective message; "Lighten up, guys."
Best Site Contributor: Trollheart, despite taking a breather, is still a powerhouse of threads, texts, ideas.
Best Media Forum Contributor: Don´t go there much, but Exo seems to own the Media Forum.
Best Taste in Music: I respect rostasi and Frownland for the same reason; they like some things I like, but they also go the extra mile into terrain that´s too scary for me!
Most Underrated Poster: Neapolitan, Psy-Fi and Dwnwthvwls for their unobtrusive, but well-considered posts.
Best Thread Starter: Vanilla and Pet Sounds have come up with some inventive thread ideas
Most Missed Poster: dj and Rjinn were both really chatty posters who seem to´ve drifted away without explanation. VEGANGELICA hardly posts any more, and that´s a pity.
Most Diverse Music Taste: one day rostasi ´s song list was alternating between Stockhausen and Sinatra -that´s diversity. Or go to any sub-genre thread, and you´ll find that Janszoon has left a recommendation there-that´s diversity too. misspoptart for her consistent interest in “world music”, which is surely the most diverse genre of all.
Most Mainstream Music Taste: misspoptart, which is why her name is so neat.
Moderator of the Year: Goofle is so much “one of the guys” that it´s easy to forget that he´s a very active mod too.
Best New Member 2014: Pet Sounds brings some very welcome enthusiasm to MB; Carpe Mortem for revitalising the folk forum and making so many friends. Chula Vista –as others have said, I´ve never seen anyone else who just fitted in so well so quickly.
Biggest Lounge Lizard: With her meet-ups, selfies and dialogues, I sometimes feel I´ve picked up RoxyRolla´s cellphone by mistake but she makes MB a friendly place. Walking into an empty house can be rather dispiriting, but with Roxy in residence, there´s always something going on.
Virtuoso of the Year: Discovering Plankton´s guitar albums has been one of this year´s surprises and highlights for me. He also runs the Members Music Showcase, which I visited for the first time yesterday. Frownland, who pursues his muse with a conviction I admire, and Xurtio whose leisurely psychedelic rambles I really enjoy.
Most Copied Spelling Mistake 2014: Ki´s ”vitruoso”

Soo.... can I have my phone back now or what?!

Just FYI, the book that's from, The Name of the Wind, is a fantastic fantasy novel. You need to read it.

How is it that you nominate my comic book journal for Journal of the Year, but not New Journal of the Year? That doesn't make any sense.

Honestly, I thought that was a quote from a disgruntled one-poster!

Jeez Bats! You can't have everything! I'm trying to be fair here, and in my opinion new journals refers more to new members who haven't had a journal before. You think people are going to nominate "Trollheart's Futureshock"? Nor would I want them to.

I didn't know you cared. I am touched, not so much for the category but for the juxtaposition of my name with other two members.

Don't worry, just because the thread hasn't been active, doesn't mean it isn't still going. I've been taking time each day or every other day to get all the votes together thus far so when the time comes, i'll be ready for the next phase. This is also a bump if you haven't had a chance to put in your nominations.

And if you feel the need to change your votes after all this time, then go **** yourself.

Speaking of which, my nominations are finalized now, just in case you counted mine before I was done editing.

Should I move them to this page btw?
