My childhood was rocky at best, but no matter how bad it ever was nothing could take away the magic of Christmastime. They say once you become an adult move away from your parents and childhood house you spend the rest of your life trying to recreate the feeling of "home," and I think the same is true for me regarding Christmas.

Do I hate the consumerism? Yes. Am I jaded toward the holiday season because I've worked in customer service/retail for the majority of my working years? Of ****ing course. But do I hate Christmas? No. Never. Christmas has always been magical for me, and it always will be.

You're the best person I've ever seen at doing Christmas correctly.

Um, it was two fishes. He ain't that great! Who do you think he is, God?
Oh, and there were five loaves too. Sounds like a ****ing feast to me, for people who lived on probably half a crust a week. Possibly.

"Fishes" refers to multiple species of fish, not multiple individual fish. Go fuck yourself.

And a very Merry Christmas to you. May the yuletide log slip from your fire and burn your house down.

Hey, I gave you the gift of a grammar. It's the gift that keeps on giving.

This will be the second year without Christmas with my parents (only child) so it's hard for me to enjoy it. I just love being with them: opening presents together in the morning, helping cook a roast dinner, eating it at a beautifully set dinner table with candles and xmas decorations, drinking champange, going for a bike ride/having a nap/playing a computer game, playing a board game or cards, eating trifle for dinner, watching a movie and drinking some more wine with snacks. That to me is the perfect Christmas. It's their company that matters most to me more than anything. It's been nearly 8 months since Iast saw them and it will be at least 2 more before I see them.

This year I am having Christmas dinner with my flatmates, boyfriend and best mate.

I voted anal beads.
