ftfy

Earth Hour is little more than a symbolic event, I think. Switching off your lights for one hour of the year means dick if you're not doing anything the rest of the year.

I'm gonna drive my Canyonero around town while spraying aerosol cans out of the window in support of this great cause.

Yet another example of the silliness of feel-good symbolism over substance.

1 hour?

That's like the equivalent of having $1,000 and deciding to save 11 cents.

The intent is to raise general awareness, but for many, this will just be something to make them feel better about their consumption and emissions. I really hope this is not all the majority is willing to do to stop climate change, because if so, I genuinely fear for the extended survival of life on earth.

International Shoot a Transformer Day would work much better.

Huh, I do that every night before I go to bed so I'm well ahead of the curve.

My global warming-denying, Republican grandfather who treats me like the scum of the earth every time I leave a light on after I leave a room is doing more to reverse climate change than these goofballs.
