Not really in the mood for long winded pointless posts so I'll stop posting in here.

Yes and no. I mean, is your desire for your child to be of your own DNA really more important than an orphan having a real home?

Well if I say that I'd like to have one child of my own then I guess it is. Just like some people don't want children at all, I don't want to adopt one, it's not for me. If that makes me a heartless bitch, so be it. I've made my decision already.

At least you're not throwing up BS rationalizations. I mean, a lot of the "childless" could be considered heartless for leaving orphans to their misery as well.

I think selfish is more appropriate than heartless, but at least you own it. We all have things we are selfish about.

Burning Down 05-03-2015 06:18 PM

Honestly I'd rather let other people who cannot have children adopt.

There's more than enough to go around..

That's too bad but I still don't want to adopt. The adoption process in Canada is a long and difficult legal ordeal that I don't care to get involved in.

Yeh, I got that the first time you said it. I'm not trying to talk you into it.

It's a pain here too. Hell, it's a pain to adopt an animal from a pet store. It's unfortunate because I think it probably deters a lot of good people from doing it.

If a couple wants a child bad enough and can't have any of their own they'll put up with the the system until they get a child. I was adopted, my birth mother was adopted, and my brother has two adopted girls (he's gay). I understand it's not for everyone, but honestly, once a child is adopted I think the love just naturally grows. I don't get the insistence some people place on having a kid that looks like them. My brother is ugly as hell, I'm glad his kids have a different look.

Not knocking you BD, I'm just sayin'
