You're right. It's time we all got serious again. Actually, speaking of which, I have a serious question for you. If you found out that you were having a child, would you take them to a mysterious monastery on a mountain in China and have them train to be a super Kung Fu master? On the one hand, super Kung Fu master, but on the other, you wouldn't get to see them very often.

And before someone says "What? That never happens!", it actually kinda does. For example, Jackie Chan was given to the Beijing Opera when he was a child, and underwent serious training for many years. He had a horrible childhood, but now he's basically a super hero.

No, I didn't misread it. I was just showing you what a rough spot was like for me. The rest was easy, as you say, but then again I had a great little person to teach, love, and live my life with.

It's just a joke. You don't need to analyze it.

Have you ever thought about becoming a nurse/medical assistant? Just seems like you'd be good at it, and you might make some co-worker friends.

My wife and I came up with daughter's name together just cause we thought it sounded cute and flowed well with our last name.

I gave my son the name I'd wished I had when I was a kid (my dad named me after himself which sucked since the name was not very cool back then - still isn't). His middle name is my wife's dad's name - he died when Lin was 16.

It'd be cool to name my child what I wanted to be called as a kid, but I don't think my partner would really appreciate the subtle nuances of the name "Terminator".

I'm named after my dad as well Chula. It's a decent name though, and if I have a son, monkeytennis jnr will also have this name.

All though grade school I was called Donny as in Donny Osmond. I did sit next to a real hotty in 9th grade named Marie so that was a bit fun for a while.

What about the ancient Spartans? Taken from their parents at age six or something. Half of them died during training, those who were left of course became honoured and feared warriors. Only the boys of course.

Again, sister = life. And if she goes before I, then no, to be honest, it's not something I'd want to do. I do it because I love her and she's my sister, but honestly? Cleaning someone's arse or feeding them their tea is not high on my list of things I like to do. I've had to do some pretty nasty things for Karen, which I have no problem at all doing, but I don't really see me doing them for a stranger. Does that make me selfish? Maybe. But I'm a mollusc with a great heart!

Maybe you could become a professional writer? I feel like I've heard you mention before that you write stories.

Anyway, I want to apologize to you and YorkeDaddy. I got pretty worked up, and said some foolish things.
