You won't understand, but this make cry happy tears.

Ftr I think that playing sports is a lot of fun, I just don't like watching other people have that fun because I'm selfish.

So why do you like watching other people play music?

Two people isn't a "massive circle jerk". This is:

Didn't you suggest I had deep psychological issues for not liking sorts?

No, you were saying your dislike of sports was similar to my dislike of MMM...which is an extreme hatred to the point where I'd feel physically ill if I heard it. If that's the case for you with sports then I certainly would hypothesize that there's some psychological factors at work there

I have no idea if your dislike is similar to my dislike. I was just saying imagine if something you found annoying/boring was as ubiquitous as sports are.

Well MMM is more than just annoying/boring to me so that's why I said the particular comparison was falling apart, but still I definitely see your point. I guess I'm lucky for inherently loving to play and watch sports since I was a kid :P

Because sports and music are two very different things and I would take playing music any time over playing sports. Plus with sports you do have variety between games, but you know what's going to happen in the end. There might be some obstacles along the way or plays that make each game unique, but with music there are even more varieties. You could say that you know what you're getting with each genre like with what I described as knowing the end result when watching a game, but since even intragenre artists can differ so greatly I think it wouldn't be fit.

But it the end it comes down to personal taste. Music is my life. Sports are not. If sports were my life or if I liked them enough to call them a hobby (they're not for me, they're just a way to entertain myself and some friends) maybe I would like to watch it. You clearly like sports more than I do and I don't give a **** about that because sometimes people have different preferences. Kinda nuts really.

I have nothing against playing sports, it's watching them that I find unbearably boring.

John Cage just composed a football game. The ball is placed at the 50 yard line. The opposing teams stand at their respective 25 yard lines. Unmoving.

They do this for 3.76 hours.

Frownland weeps over the brilliance of it all.
