We all had different ideas when we came here first. Some wanted genuine music discussion, some wanted to find new bands. Some, like me, just initially wanted to spam my game and then later discovered the journals section and snuggled in for several months. Batty of course came here expecting hot chicks and free beer, or even the other way around.

But over the years/months, how has your perception, both of the place itself and what you had initially sought from it, changed, if at all?

I've come to view it as an essential place to be, happy to contribute when I can or just sit back and enjoy the, um, banter, when I'm not getting outraged by someone taking the piss out of me. I've made a lot of friends, the odd enemy and have been able to force everyone to listen to my ravings and ramblings here. I can't really envision my life without it, which is both sad and awesome at the same time.
