If this is your logic, polls should be taken away as well.

I answer polls and look at the results.

I actually do think it's overkill for a new vote to bump the whole thread, however.

I'm big on letting the viewer come up with their own interpretation of the video/music without the need for me to add unnecessary commentary in order to sway their opinion of it. Interpretive art is a form of this. I still write when I have something valuable to add other than just "great song."

To everybody who will and has already responded to this thread with a blind YouTube link -

You're real clever. Good stuff!

Well a thread as clever and interesting as this deserves a similarly clever and interesting response.

I think it's inherently wrong to try to push people to post in a way you want. I'm not mad about all the GIFs used in replies, though I often use them myself. Really, it comes down to the fact that nobody can tell anyone else how to post. A lot of people don't like my walls of text, or my dad jokes: doesn't mean I'm going to stop using them. As Ki says, this isn't a forum for one person and you are in point of fact the only one who seems to have a problem with this so I'd suggest maybe just sucking it up. There are lots of things here I don't like, but people aren't going to change them just because I don't like them.

i dont think a description is necessary but typing out the name of the video or artist-song name goes a long way in keeping posts relevant after the video is blocked/removed.

That's your preference and I honestly get it when I think about certain threads but if you think I'm going into "What Are You Listening To II" and not being happy there are YT videos, then you're out of your mind.

Nothing I hate more than seeing...

The Pubes - Hairy Forest

...and no video to go along with it. I don't usually have YT opened in a tab so I have to go an do that just to hear a song. F*ck that. Your opinion can be valid in sorts, but it's picky as hell and really didn't deserve its own thread. People are debating though so I guess have at it.
