That'd counteract my intelligence requirements.

Also for the record, most trailer-raised folk of my generation are more intelligent and overall cooler than those who led financially stable childhoods. It forces a certain independence, which means they're reading and chainsmoking instead of drinking and caring if people notice how smart they are.

I've kind of noticed the opposite. That when they're around smarter people they become threatened and defensive.

Listen dude... you're a cute kid. I like you. But as someone who writes novels upon novels on this forum, you kinda strike me as a social intellect. Your intelligence is expressed through debating or talking to others. I personally find the silent intellect more impressive, being such myself. The scientist or the mechanic, to me, outweighs the professor or the author.

I think that being on the opposite end of the spectrum you might be misinterpreting trailer folk's boredom and indifference to your speeches as discomfort of some kind. Common problem. Just as I often misinterpret socialization as a need to prove something.

Unless people have actually gotten heated with you, but then you're talking cinema or reality tv level trailer trash.

No, I've definitely gotten the "Is this guy an alien?" look when simply talking politics, just cause I used the word "constituents". I generally don't make a habit of showing off my intelligence in real life, so when I say something "smart" around certain people, I sometimes get that look, like they thought I wasn't as smart as they were, and now they feel insecure cause they don't like that the status quo isn't what they thought it was.

People of above average intelligence are often happy to find someone they can talk with -- so long as they aren't made to look stupid by comparison, of course -- but many of average or below average intelligence have a tendency to distrust learning, since they don't have as much as they don't like to admit that they wish they had. Hell, I don't have as much as I wish I had, but I'm still relatively comfortable with my lack of stupidity.

lol

sounds like a bunch of romanticized illuminati bull**** to me

if people in trailer parks are so good at science then why do they live in trailers

science taught me that a trailer is actually the worst place to live when any kind of strong wind-bearing storm is going to hit

when andrew tore through miami it was all the trailerfolk in homestead that suffered the brunt of the storm. meanwhile, dwellings made of concrete and secured to the ground with a sturdy foundation suffered little damage. maybe they had to have some people come work on the roof or something.

who's the einstein now, trailerfolk?
