Congrats scottsy! Hope you have a good run from here on out. :)

Anyone else have an intimidating first week at work? I'm totally spent, emotionally as well as physically. Still very worried I'll disappoint all these wonderful people who've given me this fantastic opportunity...:sigh: The possibility of failure is freaking me out. :(

Mojo 02-04-2010 04:19 PM

Fearing failure can be a bad thing but not always. It just depends how you handle it. Some people are just spurred on to try and work harder. You seem to care alot about the job and doing well so chances are you're impressing.

I started a job a few weeks ago, it's only a one day thing. So my 3rd day is this Sunday... I know how you feel I freak out whilst I'm teaching my classes and think everyone's breathing down my neck, so therefore I try extremely hard, but get nervous. I wish I could just drop the nervousness, as then I'd be fine, but I dunno how anything works and I get all frustrated cos I don't know anyone yet. Chin up, you'll do fine. I'm sure of it.

Oh man, doppelganger trend on facebook. It's funny to me for two reasons...

First- in German lore if a person, or someone close to that person, sees their doppelganger, it is looked at as an omen of bad luck, misfortune, illness, etc. Lots of facebook-induced deaths in the near future.

Second- you catch a glimpse of how people view themselves, which has not been so good recently. Apparently I know 6 Megan Fox's, 2 Adriana Lima's, and any countless number of attractive females. In fact, every girl I've ever known is a supermodel, and I had no idea!

I changed my picture to be indicative of me too. I have Brad Pitt's face, with Chonnin Totem's body and Ron Jeremy's....... eyebrows. I'm actually hotter than all of that, but it's the closest match I could find. Now excuse me while I fend off this bad luck.
