Definitely go by yourself. I missed out on the opportunity to see a lot of bands 'cause my friends weren't interested in the band or were just too bone idle to come with me. Which is annoying 'cause I've been to see so many rubbish bands with my friends when they've had no one to go with.
In the end I just stopped asking people and have been to a few gigs by myself, it's not all that bad. There's only been one show I've been to where I've not made friends there.

I keep having visions of somebody breaking my nose. Pretty much my biggest fear ever, I think I'd sooner get AIDS.
If I get into a fight again I'd be tempted to beg the lad beforehand not to hit me in the nose, but that'll just make him do it. My fingers have gone numb thinking about it, urghhhhhhhh.

The guy across the road from me seems to have found the worst ever hip hop album in existence and has been playing it loudly in his garden for the past half an hour.
