Sorry I've lived here on and off for the the last 10 years and the town still hasn't grown on me, I've just learned to hate it less.
Y'know, I don't really blame you. I'd get a little tired of everything being a tourist trap, and I'm not that interested in gambling.

I end up in either Tahoe or Reno at least once a year... I might as well get a timeshare.

I think the only worth wild thing to do in Reno during the summer that is free and doesn't have an age requirement is to float down the Truckee River on an inner tube. It's quite relaxing, helps you stay cool, and it's fun when you get to the rapids.

Other than that if you're under 21 then you might as well get yourself a big bag of pot and stay permastoned and watch TV in your hotel room. If you're 21 or over... I'd still take a big bag of pot and stoned while watching TV because the casinos and bars are crap in this town.

A giant bag of pot would make it ten times more palatable. Instead I slept on the couch in the room and contemplated killing myself because the only thing my cousin would watch was Fox news.

I left for the pool or to troll the gift shops as much as I could.

Next time you're in town there's a really cool coffee shop downtown called Java Jungle. It's kind of a gutter punk/ Hipster haven but the coffee is good, and it's a great place to people watch.

Sounds like a great plan! Before you know it, it'll be time for you to be on a plane and on your way!

Man scottsy, i sure hope so.

Not quite pinned down where all we're going yet. Just have a basic idea of the cost. me friend already had a bunch of money saved up to go see her boyfriend in africa, but she ended up dumping him. so now were going to celebrate in italy. woot! i honestly dont care where we go. it'll just be nice to get away from here and see something different.

I don't know what kinds of stuff you like to do when you travel but Pompeii really blew my mind.
