Today was a pretty boring work day that was made awesome by doing my first dog walking act for the Nevada Humane Society. I ended up taking a 7 year old Pit Bull named Blake and she was the sweetest thing. She had some strength to her though and could pull when she wanted to, but for the most part she was well mannered and didn't even poop. On my way out I saw that a 2 year old Coonhound was brought in on Monday so I'm going to take her out tomorrow because I've got a thing for Coonhounds.

That sounds awesome, is that some sort of volunteer thing?

Yeah I'm volunteering down there now. I can't own a dog right now so this is a good way to spend time with dogs, help the community, meet hot chicks, and help out my resume all at once.

That's cool man. So if someone stops you and shows interest in your dog, are you supposed to push it? Like a "Well it's funny you mention that, because he happen's to be available for adoption..." type thing?

Kind of, we're not really suppose to let the dogs linger in the main room for too long. it can be kind of hard because something like 70% of the dogs at the Humane Society are Pit Bulls and they have such a negative reputation (not to mention your home owners insurance skyrockets) that people are less keen on them.

Okay so I went to see Scott Pilgram and Inception tonight and three members of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones were sitting behind me in the theater. I didn't realize this until after they had just walked out from the movie and the people at the concession stand told us. They seemed to be getting a kick out of the movie.
