And mods, grow some balls and call the prick out when he goes below the belt with personal **** against other members.

My bad, I didn't realize you felt so insecure.

Fish out of water man. I'm walking cold into retail and food places to see if they have work and the looks I'm getting from the MUCH younger managers are priceless.

I'm so over-qualified for the minimum wage positions I'm looking at it's ridiculous. I don't think anyone is going to take me seriously at all.

In my second interview I was told I was the most overqualified candidate they ever hired for my position. I had to be very adamant that I didn’t care and that I wanted to work and wanted the job. And there’s still a learning curve. If an 18 year old kid can do it and you can’t you gotta listen up and learn. I don’t think you should volunteer. I think you should force your way back into the trenches.

Chula I love you man. We all know Bat's a fat lazy sack of shit who criticizes others because of his lack of self respect. it shouldn't come as a surprise.

I don't need the money or the work. I need less time sitting at home twiddling my thumbs.

Our rent and bills are about $2,800. Our combined monthly income is about $4,000. We have savings of almost $200K and our SS and IRAs kick in in a few years.

But you keep trying to drive home your lame ass opinion.

Just jumping in.

You are in the same boat as my Dad (minus the wife). He is well off financially but just needs something to do and does odd jobs for diving money (dives all over the world. it's his hobby). He doesn't want to volunteer because there is no cash in it. In his case, he just rents so that he can pick up and leave and go to where the jobs are. Since you do not seem to be mobile really (which is a shame since then you and your wife could just drive to where the jobs are in the US), have you ever considered applying at the casinos in your area for work? They usually take on more mature staff for tellers and such (don't know about your area, this is in general).
Just an idea.

drove to target to get that mac n cheese i like since they didnt have it yesterday, and what a shocker, they were still out. wtf target :o: im waiting for the dew to dry then hooping with commence. i have to wait until 11am for the sun to be a decent height in the sky and the dew on the grass to dry up before i leave though. hooping with wet hands and a wet ball is silly. :basketbal

My old neighbor Steve (Max's dad) towed the RV to a place that will list it on consignment. The goal is after they take their 10% I'll walk away with about $21K which would be killer - 66% of what I paid for it. RVs depreciate even worse than cars.

Lilja, great suggestion about casinos but I'm no longer really near any of them and I don't really want a commute for a **** paying part time gig.

If you have any sort of CAD program, maybe look into some freelancing work like on Upwork or similar.

Mindy 08-27-2018 08:13 AM

got my books this morning, literally walked in the book store and handed my schedule and they gave me the books in 2 minutes. didnt even have to sign a paper or something  i was on the list :yeah: the math book is pretty simple, just learn the math before the classes start so when the teacher is trying to explain, so ill understand better. the math book looks fun and but the communicating at work one will prolly be nice i guess. ill learn to communicate better id suppose.

Btw, how do you feel about Math Rock? And should people in the UK call it Maths Rock?

I finally got a day off totally to myself and IDK what to do for it. I mostly slept since my weeks typically leave me dangerously sleep deprived.

I'm a big fan of math rock, but that was an assault on my ear drums. It should be done delicately, like this:

**** no!!!!!

I'm only 5'-9" and weigh about 150 and there was just barely enough room for me to kneel and pray to the porcelain (plastic) god. You would've had to use the kitchen sink for sure.
