London, Oxford, Normandy, Paris and a few others that I forgot. I'm going with a group so I'm just going to chill and take it all in and let other people handle the worrying. I'm sure I'll post something about it when I get back.

adidasss 06-22-2007 10:38 AM

Have a good trip Swim, we'll miss you...;)

Bane of your existence 06-22-2007 12:26 PM

Don't go to a bar in Paris. I spent 80 euro for two beers and three shots.

chumb 06-22-2007 12:27 PM

Well, it's that or walk through France sober... :-\

Laces Out Dan! 06-22-2007 02:20 PM

Today sucked.

I was supposed to wake up early because my mom was taking my truck up to the shop for a check up, and I was to go pick her up. WELL, I wake up, and see that she hasn't left yet. I would do it, but I wouldn't be able to understand anything the mechanics down there would have to tell me. Later, she says she'll just do it tomorrow, so I go back to bed til I had to go to work at 3:45.

Had a headache the entire day, and it got worse when I got to work; something back in the video department that makes my head hurt, probably mildew or something in the air. Not very clean it is. Anyways, I take these "Pain Away" pills that are provided for us. Supposed to only take 2, but it only works for me if I take 4. Supposed to be high on caffeine, too, but I still chug it down with a bottle of cola.

For a while, I was feeling the side-effects that I usually feel from the pills; shakiness, rapid heart beat, all that good stuff to keep me awake. Got rid of my headache, and when the first side-effects wore off came my favorite part; the slow, partially discombobulated, euphoric part.

Got off work, came home, took two of my Zyrtec instead of 1 since I forgot to take it this morning (which probably contributed to my headache). Played guitar; I'm shamefully learning songs out of this Slipknot song book I bought last year or so. I say "shamefully" because I'm having a harder time learning the songs than I thought I would, which throws away my argument for how easy their songs are (I hate being a hypocrite).

Afterwards, I did so-and-so that you don't need to know about, so we'll leave it at that.:tramp:

Right now, I'm thirsty, watching Empire Strikes Back, and am about ready to go to bed.

Blain 06-23-2007 02:26 AM

The dude from Slipknot isn't such a shabby guitarist man. I wouldn't blame you for assuming he was though.

Voice_of_the_Soul12,13,01 06-23-2007 02:52 AM

Mick Thompson is alright. He, along with Joey, are just in a crappy band. They'd be great assets in more extreme metal. I read somewhere that Mick even provided a solo for some death metal band that I can't remember the name of.

I also quite like Corey, but it's really 50/50. Alot of people love his voice, alot of people think it's horrendous.

5 hour bus ride (kind of air conditioned) that i had to wake up at 5am for since i couldnt be assed to pack last night. its nice to leave the city (phnom penh) but i miss my crew from there already. ah well, i'll head to pursat (little village) to visit one of the guys, and i'm gonna meet up with another of the guys once i get to vietnam. the last few weeks in phnom penh were both really interesting and rediculously boring. really interesting because i had to spend a night in the hospital, then go back 2 times after that for more blood tests to check up on my recovery. yeah i managed to come down with dengue fever. its really not bad, just a flu type illness that makes you feel like **** for a week or so, and somewhat like **** for a week after that (and theres a bit of a risk of hemmoraghing to death, but VERY small). i didn't have any hemmoraghes, but i did get a little bit of liver damage from the illness, which was not helped by going on a drinking binge only a week and a half after i got it. my poor liver; first dengue fever, then two nights of heavy drinking, the second of which involved an entire bottle of whiskey to myself (and then some, since one of the guys quit really early and i had more than my share). by the way children, dont do that, you end up having to spend the night at the bar because you're in no shape to get back to your guesthouse. luckily my buddy was nice and took care of me. oh well, the liver is a resiliant organ.

He'd sound alot better if he learned how to growl, and if he took the mask off. He also needs improve on his breathing. Too many singers in that genre sound like they have asthma.

GravitySlips 06-23-2007 04:40 PM

today:

- recovered from hangover
- reorganized room, tidied it for the first time in a while
- basically just listened to music for the rest of the time. I've listened to more of The Smiths today than ever before. I actually like them now. They've won me over

Voice_of_the_Soul12,13,01 06-23-2007 09:57 PM

Then according to Marilyn Manson's list of "do this and you're ***" things, you are a genuine flamer. Just kidding.

Nothing much happened today. Woke up at noon-ish, ate some food, drank some soda, watched tv, played guitar, took a shower after 2 weeks of not having one, got my uniform on and headed off to work. Worked for 5 hours, came home, played more guitar, and made a playlist;

Haha yeah I did that with my friends, good game.

As for me, I've been playing Pokemon on Gameboy Advance for like a week, been trying desperately to find an excuse to cancel saxophone lessons (the guy is a prick), and I'm going to hang out with some friends soon.

Kevorkian Logic 06-26-2007 08:04 AM

I know that feeling. I used to play pokemon for days on end, I would even hide under my covers at night to play, so my parents wouldn't see the light being emitted from the worm light.

better times...

holdyoualways 06-26-2007 02:40 PM

my sister & my mom got in a car accident today
& i just got back from the hospital
why anyone would wanna work in the emergency room of a hospital is beyond me

Trauma 06-26-2007 11:32 PM

To help people who are not as healthy as you and I.

Selflessness is crazy, no?

holdyoualways 06-27-2007 08:55 AM

still
there are plenty other wings in the hospital you could work in
my point was the emergency room is hectic & loud & stressfull & full of people with bandages on their eyes & blood dripping down their faces
yes, i actually saw that
so wh someone would chose to be in that kind of stressfull enviornment over working with terminally ill patients or old people is what i dont get

Well, I doubt that's how it works. It's not like applying for a job at Taco Bell or something. I think it's more of a "You go where you're needed" kind of thing.

Blain 06-29-2007 02:24 AM

Aaaaaaaaaaand I'm back. Hey, been at the snow the past week for the first time ever. Was heaps of fun, I couldn't ski/snowboard though:(. But just throwin the snowballs was enough for me.
