I saw a wild praying mantis fly today.

A bunch of kids and I ran after it to watch it land. It looked like this:

Today, I was told by a friend of mine that even minor strokes mean the person is "never quite the same".

As Roger is one of my absolute top friends in the world, I seriously started crying...and haven't stopped completely since the statement.

If you guys knew Roger, you'd understand. He is beyond any person I've ever met in my life, and is probably the most talented actor I've ever seen in my life.

In addition to being just the most wonderful of people.

I've never cried so hard in my life, and he's still alive. I really hope he's still ROGER the next time I see him.

The city I live in is all flat, but if a drain or two is blocked the water forms little lakes in the roads. My creepiest experience was driving through one of these "puddles" and feeling the water slowly rise up inside the car. At one point my feet and the pedals were both under the water, which was sloshing around my ankles. Luckily, an old VW Golf is a real workhorse and it just kept going til I made it home.

****, I thought I had it bad. I feel bad for ever being a pussy and not driving through a puddle.

On a related note; anyone ever been puddle catching?

The aim is to stick your head out the window (whilst being a passenger, your driving friend will go through a puddle and if it misses you, then you're doing well. If the puddle gets you, it's ****ing hilarious for the driver (ie. Me).

I've seen some people walk out of showers drier. One friend once exclaimed "IT'S LIKE ****IN BULLETS MAN!!!" it nearly ended me.

his personality had been changed to being like a child and most of his legal knowledge comes back to him only in small waves, sometimes it's there and oft times not

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. Have you gotten any updates on him recently? I hope you get to see him soon and that things are alright.

A minor stroke doesn't have to mean that he'll be drastically changed. My mother had a minor stroke a couple of years ago, and the only noticeable change was something that was only noticeable to her actually. She says she feels a change in the way her left arm and hand react, move, grip things, etc. However, it's so minimal that the rest of us can't even see it.

I know this isn't always the case, but I sincerely hope that your friend is unchanged. But just remember, even if he isn't quite the same, he's still your good friend, great actor and wonderful person.

I girl in my year died over the weekend. I don't know anything about her other than her first name, or even anyone who knew her, but it's still tragic. Sad, sad day.

I'm staying home from work today, in bed, with what has been quite a violent fever over night. I'm bored already.
